Glad to hear it. Hoefully it does'nt manage a million. :smoke:

Oh of course it will reach a million. They've only released 1 track off it so far, I expect about 1.4/1.5 by the time they're finished. :(

Not a chance to get there. I doubt it will go on 1.2

Do you think that Robbie will get back to his good days next year and sell over a million with this next album???? This year's one sold 467k only....

Charis your doing our heads in

I guess that the single, Rudebox, put a bad impression on the album. But now this year that he's going to get round releasing some serious stuff, he'll easily pass 1 million.

Just because his album has sold 467k dosn't mean he's never going to sell again

Nah. Westlife release an album every year at Xmas, they always sell big but once Xmas is over their albums generally fade away. It will probebly manage a million but definatly not 1.5 million. ^_^

I agree. :o -_-

Robbie has said he would rather make music HE wants to make rather than music he knows will sell. I'm sure he'd have perfered it to sell hugely but he isnt going to just make music so it will sell. he is not a record company puppet. -_-

Rudebox single put alot of his fans off buying the album as well as all the negetivity in the press. Robbie did'nt promote the album whatsoever, neither did EMI, apart from the rare add on tv. Sadly alot of his fanbase are quite narrow-minded and unless it's his usual ballads and pop/rock songs, then they won't even give it a try.

His contract with EMI will be up after his next album I would imagine. He has to release another 'Swing' album as it is part of his contract sadly. It will probebly be released next Xmas and will sell hugely. I doubt Robbie will promote it as he has recently said he wants to take a long break. Personally I think he needs a break as he has been working non stop for ages. He has also said he does'nt intend on resigning his contract so will probebly set up his own label and release more stuff he wants instead of what the majority of the public want so who knows if he will have another massive selling album. It is up to him. If he decides to make another normal Robbie album then I have no doubt it will sell massivly once again. ^_^

Also Westlife are working for long not stop agaes. Btw he said that this year as he released something different. Wil he do it again next year?? Highly doubt it...
Tbh Charis if you actually brought and listened to Rudebox you would finally start talking sence hopefully

No as I've said he wants to take a break, but Swing is part of his contract so will be released next whenever that will be as far as I am aware. He has said that he will never go back to writing songs like 'Angels' etc cause he has been there and done it and must've become bored of it at this stage. He's not Westlife, when I say he's been working non stop, I mean he has been writing his own material and performing to over 3.5 million people all over the world. Not just in the UK, -_-

For an album was was released out of the blue and was the complete opposite of his usual material, it has done very well. It is like a bonus for EMI. #1 in 14 countries and became the fastest selling million seller of 2006 accross Europe. http://www.ifpi.org/content/section_news/p...h_20061108.html

So even with a bad selling album it got certified 2 million in its' first week. The love album won't sell near that in total :P

Also can you imagine if Westlife had've released Rudebox? I doubt it would've sold 100k :P
