Posted November 11, 200618 yr Britney usually refrains from getting personal with her songs. In fact, there was only one personal song on In The Zone. However, she later released Someday, Little Me, Rebellion, and posted that "Rememberance of Who I am" thing. Britney managed to get married twice, get divorced, give birth twice. J.R. Rotem said her writing reflects where she's at her life. That was a year ago... before the divorce and possibly before the troubles even started. Here's an excerpt: Rotem translates that to mean her songs will really connect with people, and will make them say, "'Hmmm, I haven't heard Britney say things like that before" (see "Britney Spears Working On New Album To Boost 'Boring' Pop Scene"). He said her writing so far reflects where she's at in her life, and like her husband, she's got a song about the attention she gets for just going out of the house. "She literally can't go anywhere without her privacy being invaded," Rotem said. "Everybody is trying to get information. So the record we wrote, it addresses the 'who do you trust' kind of thing." Rotem said she also has up-tempo club songs "like in the vein of [Rihanna's] 'S.O.S.' " as well as relationship songs "and everything in between." "Rememberance of Who I Am" was definitely about Kevin. The tiger theme was possibly about the divorce as well. Do you think Britney will write about Kevin? She's not type to make a Cry Me A River type of song, and seeing how ugly this divorce will get I dont think we'll get a "weak" song like Everytime. I think there won't be songs about him... What do you think? With all the urban hitmakers she's been working with, I think like 1/4 of the album will be personal, mostly about paparazzi and her babies.
November 11, 200618 yr Yeah, probably... I don't think there will be songs about Kevin either... she seems to move on and continue with her things, or at least it appears to be that way. Remember after the whole Justin thing, when Justin did "Cry Me A River", she preferred to move on and instead released "Everytime", which is a kind of "I'm sorry, let's move on" song.
November 12, 200618 yr Author But then again she DID post that poem on her website... A song like Lonely would be really cool!
