Well Alesha really does come to mind first, her pop/RnB deserved much more success than it got.

 

As far as the stars which achieved too much success I have to say "The Feeling" and well a lot of this Indie/Pop. Its such a joke to call it Indie now, it IS this era's POP.

Underperformed:

 

Frank - Excellent single and album, should have done better.

Rachel Stevens - Well I suppose not strictly speaking, but Come And Get It was a perfect album and it $h!ts me that her awful debut album outperformed it.

Rogue Traders - The album and second single have flopped here, but it's the record company's fault for completely fucking up the releases strategy here.

The Modern - Great electro pop act that really could have been something, but it all went a bit wrong for them.

 

Overperformed:

 

Westlife - How they've got away with this farce for over 7 years now is baffling. They are bloody bland and monotonous even for a boyband, and their stupid fans who don't have a clue about music keep buying into the formulaic covers by these talentless bunch of morons.

The Kooks - Well quite frankly I despise this band, they just sound like everyone else out there, NO originality whatsoever, and are just riding on the fact that their genre is in at the moment.

Lily Allen - Talentless bint who got where she was due to having famous parents, no substance to match her apalling attitude and gets headlines and exposure by slagging off artists who are more talented than she could ever dream of being.

Scissor Sisters - I liked them back in 2004, hate them now and are extremely overhyped and overrated. GO AWAY!

I'm very bored of all the Indie $h!te now I agree - Keane, Scissor Sisters, Franz Ferdinand, The Killers. They're not even that good but yet sell by the bucketloads. The likes of A.F.I, Less Than Jake and Paramore underperform but play live gigs all the time etc but never seem to do well at all :( Also Rachel Stevens last album deserved so much better - it was pure 100% pop which everyone would've adored if Girls Aloud had released it.

 

Also I hate all the Granny acts doing well like Westlife & Blunt and this year, Corinne Bailey Bore, Paolo and James Morrison.

westlife is 8 years and they are not talentless. And the fans can't all be stupid. Westlife deserve to be here for these years.

The fans are stupid. The whole concept of a boy or girl band is just to fool thousands of stupid children etc to buy the records and keep the group at the top for as long as possible. Most teenage girls only buy McFLY records because OMG I SO LOVE DANNY HE'S SO FIT <3333 OMG WOW THEY'RE ON TV LET'S GO SCREAM AT THEM COS WE WANT THEIR BABIES YAY WOOOOOOOOOO.

 

Now personally I think it's Granny Power that keeps Westlife on top these days - they've moved away since 'Mandy' to that kind of music with the rat pack album etc but still -_-

Girls Aloud - new song is their worst original song ever by FAR!

All this mainstream guitar $h!te that people INSIST on calling indie even though it IS 100% POP!!!!! - Razorlight, Killers, Kooks (though they're actually alright), Keane, Embrace, Orson

Snow Patrol - 3 good songs on the album and it sells a million :manson:

Justin Timberlake - Awful compared to first album

Cascada - this kind of SHÃT shouldn't even be allowed

Paris Hilton - Her album flopped but nothing she's done should've reached the top 40

Personally I think Westlife get far too much flack as do McFly just because they are successful and you aren't a fan doesn't mean they are talentless and it doesn't warrent all the abuse they get on this board; not that I am a fan of either anyway.
