I'm genuinely hard-pressed as to which one I'd perfer to own. I thought Oasis at first but might now get U2 instead :(
November 11, 200618 yr Tigerboy is going to kill you  He set up a thread similar to this a few weeks back :P I simply cannot choose. They are my two favourite bands of all time. I Mod both forums  However, Oasis were at their amazing best with their first two albums and then went downhill, but their last album was definatly a return to form with the exception to the god awful 'Lyla' :puke2: U2 however, during the mid 90's went all electro which I was'nt overly impressed with however both 'pop & Zoorophra are both vastly superior to quite a few Oasis albums IMO. U2 are far more consistant imo, they have been together for 30 years and their last two albums were both amazing so overall I think their collection is better ^_^ u218 is packed with 5 star tracks, Stop the clocks have a good few but also alot of songs that should be replaced such as 'Go Let it out, Lyla :puke2: Neither albums contain all of their best songs by far. U2's should contain more of their 80's material and should be a 2 disc collection. Oasis should have FAR more songs on their's including many of the 11 singles left off <_<
November 11, 200618 yr Neither, I hate them both. Not my type of music at all, I find the vocals of both Liam and Bono strictly unbareable.
November 11, 200618 yr Author I settled on U2 However will probably get Oasis for Christmas anyways
November 11, 200618 yr Neither, I hate them both. Not my type of music at all, I find the vocals of both Liam and Bono strictly unbareable. Each to their own I suppose but although I can understand people finding Liam's voice unbearable, I think Bono is one of the very few people in Rock music who can actually really sing ^_^
November 11, 200618 yr tbh i dont want either  But personally I cant stand Oasis but Bono is an AMAZING artist  So I'd rather buy U2
November 11, 200618 yr Looking at Artist's Collection albums out on November 20th the answer is: http://www.thebeatles.com/hub/love/ecard/ Why do you need to "Stop The Clocks" or pretend that you are "18" when all you need is LOVE. http://images.play.com/covers/1611443m.jpg The Beatles : LOVE Track List (All Digitally Remastered & enhanced in 5:1 surround sound) Because Get Back Glass Onion Eleanor Rigby/Julia I Am The Walrus I Want To Hold Your Hand Drive My Car/The Word/What You're Doing Gnik Nus Something/Blue Jay Way Being For The Benefit Of Mr Kite!/I Want You (She's So Heavy)/Helter Skelter Help! November 11, 200618 yr Neither U2 or Oasis have ever been my favourite bands but I think both these greatest hits are very strong. :D I dunno whether i'll buy them both though. Probably not, but if I had to buy one it would probably be Oasis. ^_^
November 11, 200618 yr I will be getting Oasis, as I already own 2 U2 greatest hits, and havent been fond of their songs since....
November 11, 200618 yr Won't get Oasis as I have all the albums.Have the two U2 Best Ofs but will still buy U2 18 as it's a strong tracklist.
November 11, 200618 yr I will be getting Oasis, as I already own 2 U2 greatest hits, and havent been fond of their songs since.... Really :o Not even the amazing 'Sometimes you can't make it on you own'
November 11, 200618 yr Really :o Not even the amazing 'Sometimes you can't make it on you own' Well, its Ok, but if im honest, U2 havent janked my chain for years. The last song of theirs I really liked was Sweetest Thing back in '98.
November 11, 200618 yr Well, its Ok, but if im honest, U2 havent janked my chain for years. The last song of theirs I really liked was Sweetest Thing back in '98. :o Just goes to show how everyone is different  The think the Sweetest Thing is one of the worst songs they have ever made. It's far to pop imo. Their last 2 albums have been absolutelly amazing IMO. 2 of the best albums this decade. Extremly diverce as well. Packed with brilliant songs and very few fillers apart from one on 'Atomic Bomb' (One step close) and on ATYCLB (Grace and New York) but other than that I adore both albums and think U2 are still despite being together 30 years, the best band on the planet. And on a live stage they simply cannot be touched
November 11, 200618 yr well im a fan of both bands but when i read the sun today and noel was saying he is positive they will beat u2 to number 1 in the uk i was like hmm i really hope u2 put you in your place so i hope u2 get to number 1. the one thing against u2 is that all the song bar 2 are on the previous greatest hits they have released so that might damage sales where this is oasis first greatest hits and will go in there favour

Neither passed a million altough HTDAAB may have done but I am not sure  However worlwide their is simply no comparision. Sales over HTDAAB are heading towards 10 million while DBTT is only about 2.5 million ^_^
November 11, 200618 yr ya in terms of world sales im sure u2 will hammer oasis, its very hard to know who will get the uk number1 when they both clash, maybe neither will!

November 11, 200618 yr maybe im wrong i dontthink the beatles album will do that well,it will sell ok but nothing major, maybe snow patrol, scissor sisters or killers could be in with a shout of number 1 aagin as they all have new singles out which will boost album sales

They're last 'Best of' from 2001 sold an unbeliable amount. It will definatly be between U2/Oasis and the Beatles if you ask me ^_^
