Yellowhammer document is now released - with a minor title change from 'Base Scenario' to 'Worst Case Scenario'. Presumably this is so that people won't panic - ironically one of the points within the document is about how Brexit will be all the more impactful because the public aren't prepared for it :')

So if I've got this right, if the Supreme Court upholds this verdict next week his position will be untenable and he'll have no choice but to resign?

Praying so HARD that will happen, the man is an utter monster and he's gotten away with too much for far too long. It's about time he got served his comeuppance.

I mean, I don't think we know what will happen. This is completely unprecedented and if the Supreme Court uploads the Scottish decision...god knows what will happen. In normal times, Boris would have been forced out last week and Theresa would have gone much sooner.

They've pdf'd a scanned copy of the document rather than converted a Word doc to pdf, which is rather inconsiderate of them. Means you can't Ctrl+F the parts you're looking for. I'm sure we all agree that's the worst thing about this document.

Point 11iii is perhaps the most worrying, especially if you're unaware to the changes to healthcare abroad in the event of No Deal, whilst Point 12 could cause a diplomatic crisis.

Low income groups will be disproportionately affected by any price rises in food and fuel

‘But we want out 😡😡😡

Literally

I wonder what's been redacted at para 15 hmmm

15. Facing EU tariffs makes petrol exports to the EU uncompetitive. Industry had plans to mitigate the impact on refinery margins and profitability but UK Government policy to set petrol import tariffs at 0% inadvertently undermines these plans. This leads to significant financial losses and announcement of two refinery closures (and transition to import terminals) and direct job losses (about 2000). Resulting strike action at refineries would lead to disruptions to fuel availability for 1-2 weeks in the regions directly supplied by the refineries.

The people who have changed their mind on Brexit disproportionately come from low income groups whereas older middle class people are, if anything, slightly more supportive of it than in 2016.

Anyone that thinks No Deal is a good idea can just f*** off as far as I am concerned. Yes it is a worst case scenario and even as myself who knows the ins and outs a little more a business contingency plan, I am doubtful some of these would happen. But the fact that they could is just neglience. And then to use the fact 'we voted for this' as a justification is absolute bollocks. In 2016 absolutely nobody voted for this.

Have to love how owning areas like Gibraltar and Northern Ireland make us in a sense, intractable with the rest of Europe. Because of British overreach in earlier centuries, can't have anything resembling a clean break with our neighbours now.

And yes, of all the things I hope doesn't happen, 11iii is one. There's got to be a generation of Brits who have mostly only ever traveled to Europe and would be completely unprepared for being somewhere where there isn't good healthcare arrangements.

Medicines also a big worry. And I think a lot of this is being drawn up by impact assessors who want to have every confidence in their system. There's been nothing like this before, there's no guarantee the system will fail much worse than this, and it quite possibly might.

There's some confusion here, Boris may have *asked* the Queen to prorogue, but only *she* could have approved it, so why are the Scots not going after the Queen as well, or instead...

I assume you know the answer to that question. Just in case, the Queen acts on the advice of her ministers. Her actions cannot be challenged; ministerial advice can be.

It's all a fuss over nothing really. Parliament's prorogued now so let it be, whatever Boris's reasons were for doing it. No need to go to the courts. Over Brexit maybe but not this. The conferences are coming up anyway soon so MP's will be attending those.

If he’s reasoning was *illegal* then it is a matter for the court. Court has decided that the reasoning was illegal hence their ruling

God bless the Scottish court system

When's the party conferences start, next weekend? So how much are they missing out on before it - the rest of the current week and next?

No ... it is a huge wannabe dictator deal. Sorry.

The serial liar now denies lying to the queen. He's lies so so soooo many times before, that how he can expect us to trust him now?

The billionaires have spoken. Ever feel like you've been had, common sense? ;)

So you think governments should be above the law? What if a future PM (or, for that matter, the current one) tried to get legislation through parliament saying that everyone claiming benefits for mental health reasons should go through a rigorous reassessment every three months? What if, after being defeated in the Commons, that PM simply prorogued parliament and enforced the law by ministerial fiat? Would you just accept that or would you want to see that challenged in the courts? If Johnson wins his appeal, that hypothetical future PM would try to use the ruling as a precedent.

It's all gone a bit quiet on the front pages of the Brexshitter cheerleader right wing rags!

Not a peep about the yellowhammer documents, not a peep about brexshit or Glorious Leader! Oops. From waving the flags and screaming brexshit, to total silence. Absolute complete PROPAGANDA and people like common sense will go into shops, see the front covers of S*n, Daily Shitepress, Daily Heil, and Torygraph, and think everything's okay!
