I am too firebrand to allow the right wingers to trample over our democracy with Bojo and Farage without letting my feelings out. Sorry. Perhaps you right wingers could stop electing Trumps, Bojos and Farages to positions of power? Then we can talk more politely x

1. A functioning society requires the ruch play their part. What we have now is a PLUTOCRACY. Under FDR, the tax for millionaires was 90% and we had an actual middle class and the American Dream. It's not "taking people's money" as you right wingers scream. It's about paying dues. Those roads, offices, education levels and health don't spring up from nothing. There's no such thing as someone who is self-made. That's just another Thatcher lie you gobbled down like a greedy gobble ganet.

2. What do you have to say about the Brexshit scoundrel party now?

Yes but you could try to do it a little more politely as us two do, without name-calling. I know it's not easy and I have to bite my tongue often online but it's necessary to be polite to other posters even if they have a different viewpoint or support another party. You can let your feelings out without name-calling or swearing and I'm meaning others too.

I’m legit worried that the tories are going to romp this election. I genuinely don’t understand how anybody could vote for a racist with such horrific views and seems to have no idea what he’s talking about half of the time. The sooner Scotland become independent the better.
Take the north with you when you go! London can join us, too. The borders will be a bit weird, but we can make it work.

Please do not lecture people on politeness when you repeatedly defend a man that has called Muslim women letterboxes, black people piccaninies with watermelon smiles and gay men tank topped bum boys. You haven’t a leg to stand on.

I think I’m going to stop posting in this area. As it’s basically everyone thinks the same barring 2 posters who are right wing and can’t be changed.

So there seems little point in getting het up over 2 posters who aren’t going to change their disgusting right wing views.

Have fun y’all and remember Vote for a party beginning with L on Thursday

I know we're a page back but this is basically why I don't post in this forum, I can't even really look in here anymore as certain posters annoy me so much that I can't cope with it. I see enough of these views on Facebook and I'd rather not look at them here as well.

That's not the point I am polite and courteous to other posters here.

Same :) and I know I’ve now gone back on my not posting here anymore; but it’s pointless trying to talk to racist right wing people. And vidcapper and Chris have shown their colours over the last few weeks. There’s no point posting trying to persuade or argue with a couple of right wing Bigfoot’s. They won’t change their mind. I’m just going to watch now :)

But agreed on Facebook; I’ve avoided posting for so long as if I did I probably wouldn’t be able to stop again the racists

Well maybe he knows what he's trying to say if no-one else does. :D I admit all his interviews are car-crash and he stumbles his way through them but actually think that's part of his buffoon appeal.

I've never noticed any of it on Facebook. Twitter, yes. If I post something on my wall like I did the other day, "Brexit: It's Oven Ready:", I don't get any abuse, just no-one posts under it.

My dad always used to say that he never discussed religion or politics.

I have a feeling that there is going to be one big story that breaks either this evening or early tomorrow, something which one of the two parties has been holding off on for some time, that will light a match underneath this election. I've not idea what it is, or who will release it, but I have a feeling it will come.

In other news, The Guardian have endorsed Labour.

And still you don't seem to accept that he is aiming to be Prime Minister, not court jester.

What does Brexit: its oven ready even mean? What is the meaning of that statement? Its empty words. What evidence is there behind it?

Suppose it means Boris's deal is all ready to go and be voted for by his MP's if he gets his majority. Like when you buy an oven ready chicken or turkey and it's all ready to go in the oven. No washing or other preparation.

Anyone seen his version of the doorstep scene from Love Actually? It's on Youtube, quite funny.

As I've said many times before - there is none. It is a rhetorical device, and quite an effective one at that. The Boris Johnson (with a little help from Dominic Cummings) have fine-honed their persuasion skills to come up with short, effective phrases that stick in the brain and connect with potential voters (Oven Ready, Get Brexit Done). It's something Labour haven't done to the same extent - I couldn't tell you what their main slogan is (I remember "For The Many, Not The Few", but they've used it for years, quite wordy, and it opens itself up to mockery & parody).

It's not funny. It's a rip off of a Labour mp's idea, but hers was um GOOD. I prefer the NEW version, with pictures of the destroyed nhs.
