However I'm so excited for this vinyl... finally a little deserved consideration for this album...

Can’t wait to download Forever on iTunes when we all fans are supposed to. Justice for Vicky’s lead vocals!
I can't wait to download it and receive my vinyl, Forever will have its day in the sun I swear it.

I love MNEK and I think he would be a great producer for a new Spice Girls album! His work with Little Mix has been incredible and his solo album was *chefs kiss*

Modern, pop and FUN!

  • 2 weeks later...

I got e-mail from Amazon Japan.

they said "release date is pushed back to Jan 22th 2021" :o

Amazon JP

seems like Amazon UK is not changed yet.

hope JP's date is wrong!

Might be trouble with shipping right now with the pandemic.

Amazon UK still has 20th November 2020 as its release date, but lower down the page it says "Original Release Date : 2021" (2 days ago it said 2020). I wonder if the new Japanese date will end up being the release date everywhere? :( If so... it kind of loses its 20th anniversary release angle, lol.

20th Nov is 5 weeks from now. If 22nd Jan ends up being the release date, there's another 14 weeks to wait. :(

To be honest, if it is release in Jan, it is probably easier to get it back on the charts anyway

Curious! There's only ever been one listing for the vinyl on Fnac so I'm not sure how likely it is that it'll be different to what's being sold in the UK, hmm... we'll see. The Amazon.com version (American) also says Deluxe.

Interestingly the vinyl on Amazon Japan says "including remix"!

If this gets released in Europe first before US/Canada and Japan that would help it chart here if spice circle does a shipping service
Oh I am HERE for a release that has different versions in different countries thank you :cheer: but it will probably never happen and it is only a listings issue :mansoncheer:

Hey hey

This person is liaising with a record label to get Ghosts by Siobhan Donaghy (from Sugababes) released on Vinyl and he is looking for other suggestions of other albums that could be requested as well.

It might be a long shot, but could we all suggest Free Me and Life in Mono on Vinyl pleeeeeaasseee?! He seems to have great connections and also knows what he is doing. Ghosts was a major flop but it seems that the record lable is whiling to do it, so who knows we could be in with a chance?!

Ghosts is a great album!! So you say  Deserved so much more.

It really is :w00t:

I filled in that form about a month ago, and didn't mention Emma (or anything else in the 'other' section), however, I did message him separately (also last month)!

He posted about his business venture on Popjustice, in their vinyl thread... and a lot of people responded positively to him, and posted their 'dream lists' of vinyl. Unfortunately after a while, a few members expressed that they were irritated that the thread had been taken over by wish lists rather than discussions about albums that already exist -_- That was just before I got around to posting my own list lol.

I actually PM'd him separately though, to wish him luck & to share the list I'd written. That list of course included solo Spice albums *.* He replied to me, saying that all of my suggestions were on his own wish list. So it certainly seems like he would love to be able to do Emma's albums.

He wrote this in the vinyl thread:

Obviously the dream will be to get onto larger artists like Girls Aloud but that may be a bit too big to start with.

I think smaller pop gems are more likely as it will be in small numbers initially. I was thinking Holy Valance, Rachel Stevens, Eternal, Dannii etc.

Those that there is a demand for but not the in the numbers that would interest the artist/label in pressing themselves.

I guess a solo Spice might be considered on a tier above those names, and "too big to start with", which is understandable I think. Good to test the waters with Siobhan Donaghy and see how things go.

I really hope that 19/Universal/Emma would be open to the idea of it. I think we'll just have to keep our fingers crossed!

I bet we'll never see Geri albums on vinyl though, if Geri herself was against a CD re-release a few years ago -_-

P.S. I moved the posts to this thread from Emma's thread (I guess the discussion has potential to discuss other solo Spices on vinyl / vinyl in general, so maybe better suited to this thread!)
