As in

Forgot it was finally out this Friday

Lol

His last album charted at #7 with 5.4k first week so that is very optimistic... :P

He’s chucking out multiple versions, signed editions, Assai Exclusive, intimate record shop shows etc., versus last time and I’m sure we’ll get the week 1 price cuts, plus his last album alienated his audience by going all country/MOR so hopefully the new album will see some of them return.

Quite a miserable review from the NME today, just 2 stars!

Every review I’ve seen has been like 8/10 or 4/5 stars.

NME are miserable in general arent they :D

Just listening to this now and I think its a really strong album. Maybe It's Today is probably my least favourite.

However About Last Night, Lonely Hours, Screaming, Scene and all the singles are excellent.

They loved him when he broke through but think he’s a sell out so purposely hate in him now!

It's quite the opposite!

The review literally says that they wanted him to lean even more into the pop/disco influences...

A friend bought me this for christmas and I've been pleasantly surprised by it... it's nothing groundbreaking but it's a consistent and extremely easy to listen to album - probably my favourite thing of his I've heard to date.
