Jamelia speaking in the Sun today -

Pop queen's Jam slam

COMMENT ON THIS STORY

POP princess Jamelia has blasted X Factor’s Leona Lewis AND Strictly Come Dancing’s Emma Bunton.

The bitchy singer, 25, damned the latest reality hopefuls with faint praise.

She said: “Leona’s great, she has an amazing voice — but it’s a bit Mariah Carey circa 1990.

“I don’t know how she would fit into the music industry.â€

And she said of Emma, who has made a cover of pop song Downtown: “Her career is going Downtown — but at least she can dance.â€

Jamelia’s comments have enraged Simon Cowell, who is Leona’s mentor on the ITV1 show. He said: “I am getting very angry. Someone is trying to get at Leona through launching a dirty tricks campaign.

“It’s completely unneccesary, Leona is a very talented girl and this is all very unfair.â€

Slagged off ... Jamelia laid into Leona, left, and Emma

He has already hit out this week at claims Leona had been secretly “groomed†for stardom by vocal coaches CeCe Sammy and John Modi.

Jamelia was speaking to pop chart Hit 40 UK host Lucio when she made her catty comments.

Last night an industry insider said: “Jamelia’s got the credibility to say such things.â€

Leona is 1/4 favourite to win X Factor on December 16. Ben Mills is second at 5/1 and Ray Quinn third at 6/1

Well she is managed by Jonathan Shalit, who it has been alledged (by the Daily Mirror) to have been giving advice and support to Ben (X-Factor 3), and could end up being his manager after the show, assuming he does not win.

Plus maybe Jamelia's is worried/jealous, because Leona is a better Rnb/Pop/soul singer live than she will ever be:

Jamelia - Beware Of The Dog (Live @ CIN)

There are more notes out of tune in this performance than what Leona has produced in all of her performances on X-Factor 3.

 to Jamelia, to think i used to like her, pah!!!!

Back to Emma, she was #64 i read somewhere bu tdo go an dget the album, it is a real grower.

I was really dissapointed at firsr cos there are alot of ballad, chilled songs bu tnow i really love the record, so far the best tracks are 'Take Me To Another Town', cant getthe song out of my head, amazing   and 'All I Need To Know' as well as 'Downtown' bu t you have to be patient with it.

I do think the production lest it down a bit, 'Life In Mono', the song, could have been a James Bond song if they added more to it like some big strings and stuff, bu tthe album deserves top 40 at least, go buy you need to sit with it and listen a couple of times, bu tyou will enjoy it, trust me B)

I'm really surprised this is doing so badly. Its a very nicely put together album.

Favourites for me are, Life In Mono, All I Need To Know and Mischievous.

To be fair jamelia cannot actually sing.. how stupid to call leona .. when the county loves her...
ecen if emma can hang around lower ends of the charts for christmas period she would sell quite well as sales are high, her last album went top 10 but didnt only sell around 120,000 copies?new album could beat that if it stays around for christmas

You are right Feel the fever, Emma was in quite a few papers too, quite a big spread, and the album was mentioned. I am sure lots of people probably were not aware of it being out already. :(

I do like these x-massy smilies. :D

Im sure they will let her release another single before they drop her.
