December 5, 20195 yr Author Glad that Are You Lonely managed to hold on to a top 250 finish! Also great to see Right Now, Someone You Loved and Ignite in here, all fantastic songs that will probably be in my EOY too, though I haven't checked yet! Where Angels Fear To Tread made my chart last year as well.It nearly missed out until I remembered to combine the two versions of it too. :P
December 5, 20195 yr Author Thermo's hot hits | EOY 2019 | #191-195 #195. Tom Ferry and Lisa Ajax ~ Off My Mind Date entered: 01/02/2019 Chart sales: 288,500 Chart run: 67-79-x-100-60-39-24-38-76-x [8 weeks] Basic dancepop done well. #194. Nash ~ I Know You (feat. Michele C.) Date entered: 16/08/2019 Chart sales: 289,700 Chart run: 15-16-24-23-27-42-69-72-91-96-99-x [11 weeks] I could easily mistake this guy for Gareth Emery, I'm sure it rips off one of his songs too but it's still a great track. #193. Russ and Tion Wayne ~ Keisha & Becky (feat. Aitch, Swarmz, Sav'o and JAY1) Date entered: 29/03/2019 Chart sales: 290,000 Chart run: 80-x-45-40-40-44-77-x [6 weeks] UK drill peaked with Russ' two hits, which both appear in this chart. Initially charting quite low for just being a 'Gun Lean' clone it rebounded following the brilliant remix with new and improved verses from the main acts plus our introduction to Aitch who we'll also see later on in this rundown. #192. Armin van Buuren and Avian Grays ~ Something Real (Original/Giuseppe Ottaviani Remix) (feat. Jordan Shaw) Date entered: 20/09/2019 Chart sales: 291,900 Chart run: 96-x-33-47-79-x [4 weeks] Helped a fair bit here from having 2 versions I enjoyed. The original is a standard dance anthem which does its job as intended and GO provided a faster trance version of it which I'd say I prefer. #191. Futurecode ~ The Network Date entered: 20/09/2019 Chart sales: 292,800 Chart run: 21-17-23-23-26-31-42-52-59-71-98-x [11 weeks] Trance producers Ben Gold and Omnia unveiled their collab project Futurecode this year which have been consistently pumping out the tunes since their debut, this was one of their instrumentals. We'll be seeing more from them later on as well as both guys as individuals. Personal recommendation rCrxn67XMlU Check out the tracks announced so far on Spotify
December 5, 20195 yr Author Thermo's hot hits | EOY 2019 | #186-190 #190. AZ2A ~ Rude Boy Date entered: 19/07/2019 Chart sales: 297,000 Chart run: 38-38-22-19-24-30-37-47-64-91-x [10 weeks] Yes, it is a dance version of the Rihanna track. I do love a good basic house reworking. #189. Cristoph ~ Slowly Burning [2019] (feat. Jem Cooke) Date entered: 16/08/2019 Chart sales: 297,500 Chart run: 57-45-20-19-20-24-45-66-95-94-x [10 weeks] Following up their contribution to CamelPhat's 'Breathe' they remade 'Slowly Burning', which passed me by on its original release but this version is certainly better. Worth checking out if you enjoyed 'Breathe'. #188. Alan Walker ~ Diamond Heart (feat. Sophie Somajo) [#172, 2018] Date entered: 05/10/2018 Chart sales: 298,700 [632,800 total] Chart run: 24-11-10-10-14-16-17-18-18-49-64-48-57-27-54-60-71-84-99-x [10 weeks (19 total)] I went off him for a bit but he's seemingly got better again with this and another song still to come (though I still haven't heard the album), and with the best Sia impression I've heard yet. Worth a listen if you liked 'Faded' then forgot about him.Well he's been even bigger this year with quite a few songs in the rundown including this one again. #187. Darren Porter and Ana Criado ~ Dream Like I Do Date entered: 09/08/2019 Chart sales: 298,900 Chart run: 89-87-74-62-50-47-62-88-44-52-76-82-x [12 weeks] A great uplifting vocal trance track from someone I hadn't heard of before this year but he now has two entries in this rundown. #186. Todd Edwards ~ You're Sorry Date entered: 26/04/2019 Chart sales: 301,200 Chart run: 56-35-37-51-71-68-77-82-90-x [9 weeks] Apparently this guy's been around since the early 90s but this was the first song I heard of his, it's a laidback house/garage track more suited for a bar than a festival really but sometimes that's a good thing. December 6, 20195 yr Sorry for not commenting, Dan. School has been kicking my mind lately. Of the songs you've revealed thus far, I like Someone You Loved, Turn Me On, Alright, Find U Again, Look Away, All The Time, Wow., So Close, Lose Control, In My Mind and Diamond Heart. Can't wait for the rest!
December 6, 20195 yr Turn Me On is an interesting one, I was delighted to see Riton get another hit but it never took hold of me like I thought it would, still one of the better Top 40 songs this year. Alright is... well just that really - I definitely charted it this year although can't remember that much of it other than the chorus I think I was the reverse of you for Ignite actually! I loved the original but never really got round to giving the new version that much of my time even though the vocals did seem pretty good Off My Mind was a fab BJSC entry as well, and Diamond Heart was definitely a grower for me - I started off thinking it might miss my Top 40 but I soon came to love it! I'll also say that you might not be a fan of my Worst Songs ranking this year :kink:
December 7, 20195 yr Keisha & Becky is my favourite song here so far. Although for me it's all about the original version. I'm not a fan of the remix, especially Aitch's verse.

Never got into the instrumental version of Ignite, it only charted from the vocal mix. I take it Keisha & Becky will be appearing very high on your Worst list then. :P Keisha & Becky is my favourite song here so far. Although for me it's all about the original version. I'm not a fan of the remix, especially Aitch's verse.Aitch improves it a bit for me, he has my fave guest verse.
December 8, 20195 yr Author Thermo's hot hits | EOY 2019 | #181-185 #185. Duke Dumont ~ The Power (feat. Zak Abel) Date entered: 16/08/2019 Chart sales: 301,800 Chart run: 3-7-9-12-21-34-60-67-88-x [9 weeks] Released as just one of two tracks in 2019 from Dumont, 'The Power' was an instant hit from hype although it quickly tumbled down. It also had a bit of CamelPhat influence which helped, but ultimately it's not one of his strongest ever. #184. Elderbrook ~ Old Friend Date entered: 11/01/2019 Chart sales: 303,000 Chart run: 51-41-29-34-56-60-66-x [7 weeks] Overall I haven't been that invested in Elderbrook's material but this managed to get him a 2nd hit in my chart following 'Cola'. #183. Leona Lewis ~ One More Sleep [#244, 2017 / #233, 2018] Date entered: 11/12/2015 Chart sales: 303,300 (1,154,100 total) Chart run: 17-22-x-47-x-40-12-x-17-9-x-25-23-2-3-x-24-2-2-2-x-2-5-1-1-x-43-... [5 weeks (20 total)] Here we go again, interestingly with every year passing Leona has re-peaked with 'One More Sleep'. This song has aged brilliantly and is up there with my ultimate seasonal faves now. Well it couldn't quite make #1 but it actually does better in the EOY than the Hurts Christmas track which held it off, that's just one of the many oddities of my points system including playcount. Seeing as it is December again we should expect her to make a chart comeback and perhaps go all the way this time, great to see it becoming a definite future Christmas classic anyhow, its Spotify performance this year so far has been great. And it finally made #1 last Christmas and it could potentially get there again. It's definitely my fave Christmas song now. #182. Daddy Yankee ~ Con Calma (feat. Snow) Date entered: 01/03/2019 Chart sales: 304,200 Chart run: 41-43-41-45-55-65-83-82-78-51-75-x [11 weeks] Daddy Yankee made an unexpected comeback in my chart especially considering I'm bored of reggaeton now but this is an undeniable tune. Lifting from Snow's 'Informer' and even guesting him really works here and Yankee's fast flow is impressive as ever. Katy Perry was really not needed on this though, I've stuck to the original. #181. Mabel ~ Don't Call Me Up Date entered: 25/01/2019 Chart sales: 304,700 Chart run: 54-36-36-45-55-81-93-x [7 weeks] One of the biggest and best pop hits of the year, Mabel proved herself here with a great breakup anthem. December 8, 20195 yr Author Thermo's hot hits | EOY 2019 | #176-180 #180. Desert Star ~ Carissa Date entered: 20/09/2019 Chart sales: 306,100 Chart run: 16-17-23-23-28-32-58-80-x [8 weeks] A great BJSC find here, even with it being a bit too short. #179. High Contrast ~ Days Go By (2019 Mix) Date entered: 22/03/2019 Chart sales: 307,400 Chart run: 63-25-28-35-39-34-33-36-49-64-x [10 weeks] A drum n bass reworking of 'Edge of Seventeen' which is as good as it sounds. It was first released a while ago as a bootleg but I only discovered it after it was given a re-recording and official release for 2019. #178. Joel Hirsch and Haliene ~ Run To You (Giuseppe Ottaviani Remix) Date entered: 01/03/2019 Chart sales: 307,500 Chart run: 52-26-23-26-26-29-37-47-60-69-x [10 weeks] Another Haliene vocal, she's everywhere in trance for her incredible voice. This track passed me by however until it got a bit more life injected into it by GO, he's great at these uplifting remixes. #177. R3hab and A Touch Of Class ~ All Around The World (La La La) Date entered: 12/04/2019 Chart sales: 308,500 Chart run: 88-67-65-74-x-96-84-74-69-79-79-x [10 weeks] A great reworking of the early 00s hit by A Touch Of Class, with R3hab completely modernising it. This version saw the track become a world hit again, but unfortunately never saw a UK push. #176. Fatum ~ More Of Your Love (feat. Angel Taylor) Date entered: 02/11/2018 Chart sales: 310,000 Chart run: 95-31-24-14-10-17-42-82-89-59-x-57-64-76-83-x [9 weeks (14 total)] Another progressive trance track, released as the follow up to their #1 hit 'Mowgli' this was one of their few releases with a vocalist and they should do some more like this because it's one of their best. December 8, 20195 yr Author Thermo's hot hits | EOY 2019 | #171-175 #175. Craig Connelly ~ Lights Around the World (feat. Megan McDuffee) Date entered: 01/03/2019 Chart sales: 310,300 Chart run: 56-46-47-37-46-50-49-52-64-70-x [10 weeks] This one's an uplifting trance track and gave both acts their first hit in my chart. #174. Driftmoon ~ Lights Will Guide You Home Date entered: 01/02/2019 Chart sales: 311,600 Chart run: 18-22-22-28-32-42-57-81-x [8 weeks] Another uplifting track and the winner of an edition of Club Bizarre, this one is really expertly produced and deserved that recognition. #173. Weiss ~ Let Me Love You Date entered: 07/06/2019 Chart sales: 312,300 Chart run: 86-61-52-52-51-53-62-62-81-97-x [10 weeks] Back to house, with this being the follow-up to his mega hit 'Feel My Needs'... which is still to come. That was always going to be tough to follow but this does its job well, although the vocal needed to take some getting used to. #172. Dom Dolla ~ Take It Date entered: 30/08/2019 Chart sales: 312,900 Chart run: 97-45-35-47-54-51-48-64-52-78-x [10 weeks] This one has a very weird vocal but it works, and that bass is undeniable. #171. Nora Van Elken ~ Never Letting Go Date entered: 03/05/2019 Chart sales: 314,200 Chart run: 79-48-47-55-59-55-75-88-x [8 weeks] What were the chances of another Nora making my chart? Well this one was a random Spotify find and it's a rather banging track. Personal recommendation brim6S3M2Io Check out the tracks announced so far on Spotify
December 8, 20195 yr Author Thermo's hot hits | EOY 2019 | #166-170 #170. KDA ~ The Human Stone (feat. Angie Stone) Date entered: 31/05/2019 Chart sales: 318,100 Chart run: 90-84-85-91-65-73-79-76-76-77-61-62-83-x [13 weeks] Something a bit different from KDA which meant it took a while to grow on me and didn't manage to reach a high peak but it's great nonetheless, now my 3rd fave song he's released. It's a mashup of two songs I've never heard of before so it was as good as new for me. #169. Endor ~ Pump It Up Date entered: 20/09/2019 Chart sales: 318,700 Chart run: 29-52-92-x-47-29-54-72-71-59-38-… [10 weeks] A reworking of the Danzel hit which somehow managed to become a hit of its own as well. It's exactly what you'd expect from a Defected act's version of it but it's rather infectious and I always like it when these tracks get modernised. #168. Gareth Emery ~ Laserface 01 (Aperture) Date entered: 30/08/2019 Chart sales: 319,700 Chart run: 21-28-29-45-62-71-39-42-46-70-x [10 weeks] The first of three (so far) songs released that were made for his 'Laserface' live show (which looks amazing by the way), an energetic instrumental trance track. #167. Travis Scott ~ Sicko Mode (feat. Drake) [#131, 2018] Date entered: 10/08/2018 Chart sales: 325,100 (724,900 total) Chart run: 53-58-68-74-58-75-70-71-82-86-x-34-40-43-48-49-29-54-57-73-80-32-34-37-43-68-91-x [10 weeks (26 total)] Such an ambitious song with it having 3 completely different productions but it blends so well, Drake's verse is already so iconic too and one of the best things he's been involved on all year (and yes I am giving him the credit). The great video for this sent it back in the chart at a new peak and the tune still sound really fresh so it could even out-peak itself in the new year.It didn't quite manage to re-peak but it eventually spent half a year in the chart impressively. Still Travis' best song yet and I don't see that changing, I wasn't keen on any of the follow-ups. #166. Ellie Goulding ~ Sixteen Date entered: 19/04/2019 Chart sales: 326,400 Chart run: 24-31-39-45-63-65-72-85-x [8 weeks] Ellie came back with a basic pop bop and of course I was going to enjoy it, I generally prefer this style from her to her ballads and collabs with rappers. Hopefully now that her 'River' cover has got her back in the top 20 she can quickly get her Calvin Harris collab out and get another huge hit again. December 9, 20195 yr The Power never really hit with me, I was happy listening to it on my summer break but it felt very much background music to me sadly Old Friend is a real tune, possibly the best song of its type to come out this year! Carissa is one of my favourite BJSC discoveries this year, I can't believe I only gave it 2 points as it's amazing! Great to see Pump It Up doing so well officially, it does feel very similar to the Danzel original but still decent to listen to.

Great to see Pump It Up doing so well officially, it does feel very similar to the Danzel original but still decent to listen to.I did love it for a short while but it fell off fairly quick, for a #3 hit with a complete run it's incredibly low. I think I underrated Old Friend a bit on the other hand though, listened to it for the first time in a while and it's great. Well I made up for that with 15 points to it, but yes it's great, one of my fave BJSC discoveries of the year. I'd say I prefer it to the Danzel version now, it's a lot less cheesy.
December 10, 20195 yr Author Thermo's hot hits | EOY 2019 | #161-165 #165. CLiQ ~ Dance on the Table (feat. Caitlyn Scarlett, Kida Kudz and Double S) Date entered: 14/06/2019 Chart sales: 327,300 Chart run: 92-95-93-62-54-54-54-51-45-39-38-46-67-x [13 weeks] The highest CLiQ entry is their latest release which for a change guested 2 male rappers, alongside Caitlyn doing the hook. It was a bit of a surprise sleeper hit but I enjoy the flows of all the vocalists here even if the CLiQ beat is more or less the same as it ever was. #164. Ben Gold ~ Come Home (feat. Hvnnah) Date entered: 27/09/2019 Chart sales: 328,500 Chart run: 15-5-6-12-15-29-39-46-46-62-… [10 weeks] The highlight track from what was unheard of Sound Advice upon the album's release, and what is now acting as the new single with a video being released for it last week. Another standout piece of pop trance from Ben Gold and we'll be seeing more from him very soon... #163. Ben Gold ~ There Will Be Angels (feat. Audrey Gallagher) Date entered: 18/07/2018 Chart sales: 332,100 (407,000 total) Chart run: 82-91-x-24-15-15-24-25-47-64-93-x [8 weeks (10 total)] ...like in the next announced position! This was a single last year where it only made #82, it really should've done better the first time around but it re-grew on me following the album. It's got a lovely vocal from Audrey, and great trance production from Ben. There is also an acoustic piano version of this which is really beautiful although I mostly played the original. #162. Morgan Page ~ The Longest Road (feat. Lissie) (deadmau5 Remix) Date entered: 18/01/2019 Chart sales: 336,000 Chart run: 44-44-38-37-38-49-67-x [7 weeks] What seems like a random entry, but with it reaching its 10th anniversary it had a set of new remixes released for the occasion. However I wasn't that keen on those and the deadmau5 remix from the time grew on me instead. Great bit of progressive with a strong vocal, this is. #161. Darren Porter and RAM ~ One Million Seconds (feat. Natalie Gioia) Date entered: 15/02/2019 Chart sales: 338,300 Chart run: 49-22-27-45-42-42-47-51-53-69-x [10 weeks] Darren Porter back again with his first and bigger hit here alongside RAM (of BJSC winning fame) for another uplifting trance anthem. December 10, 20195 yr Author Thermo's hot hits | EOY 2019 | #156-160 #160. Grimes and i_o ~ Violence Date entered: 13/09/2019 Chart sales: 340,900 Chart run: 18-21-33-38-33-39-30-52-68-81-82-98-x [12 weeks] Grimes isn't someone I'm a fan of, her only previous top 40 hit was from 5 years ago, but I was intrigued at her doing a collab with rising techno producer i_o and the result is very impressive. Her hypnotic and breathy vocals go well with the pulsating beat which is rather different for i_o too, I'd like to hear more like this. #159. Standerwick, Tensteps and NOHC ~ This Letter Date entered: 08/03/2019 Chart sales: 344,300 Chart run: 83-69-58-45-53-39-30-33-44-57-87-x [11 weeks] Standerwick you may know for his Gareth Emery collab 'Saving Light'. This was my fave of his 2019 output, a track in a similar style although not half as strong. It's got a rather good vocal though. #158. Aitch ~ Taste (Make It Shake) Date entered: 09/08/2019 Chart sales: 344,600 Chart run: 25-26-32-42-36-31-25-38-47-65-78-x [11 weeks] Aitch's major breakthrough and one of the year's biggest UK rap hits and for good reason. He's got some great lines in this and a consistent flow throughout, and I really enjoy the beat of this too. #157. Freya Ridings ~ Lost Without You [#89, 2018] Date entered: 22/08/2018 Chart sales: 345,600 (867,300 total) Chart run: 80-64-57-62-69-63-34-28-27-30-39-34-29-31-31-65-59-76-83-55-57-67-73-81-98-x [10 weeks (25 total)] A surprise inclusion perhaps for those of you who don't follow my chart closely, but yes I do love a good piano ballad which this very much is. Freya's voice is simply wonderful over the sparse piano, and it's a rather emotional song. First heard in its live version sent to BJSC, it wasn't until the studio version took off on iTunes and I checked that out that I started to properly like it (I still rate the studio version well above the live one, though I'd quite like to hear a studio version of that string arrangement). A very inspired hit single (queen of avoiding ACR too!) and it looks like she'll have another hit on this chart at least as 'Waking Up' has already out-peaked this. #156. Jess Glynne ~ No One Date entered: 01/03/2019 Chart sales: 349,000 Chart run: 46-15-17-18-27-37-45-73-91-x [9 weeks] A nice enough post-album single from Jess here, definitely not as strong as her other singles from before and I'm not particularly keen on the titular cliche but her voice is great as ever and it's reasonably upbeat. December 10, 20195 yr Author 'The Longest Road' has aged tremendously, great to see it here  Yes I thought you'd like the inclusion as you sent it to a BJSC spinoff years ago but don't think I gave it any points as it had big chart hits to contend with.
December 10, 20195 yr Author Thermo's hot hits | EOY 2019 | #151-155 #155. Ben Gold and Sivan ~ Stay (Original/Sneijder Remix) [#84, 2018] Date entered: 13/07/2018 Chart sales: 350,000 [888,700 total] Chart run: 90-46-36-17-23-24-27-42-45-57-63-54-55-53-68-89-x-84-59-72-98-x-29-24-43-59-x [8 weeks (24 total)] Another great trance song here, Ben Gold only appeared on my radar this year but he's done a few good tunes, particularly this one helped by Sivan's vocal. Armada Music has been my favourite record label by a long way this year, as I'm getting back into trance music properly. It has a great melodic drop, and there's not much else to say, it's just a great song. Also helped this year by the Sneijder remix which turns it into an uplifting track as well as the album boost. #154. Alan Walker ~ Lily (feat. K-391 and Emelie Hollow) Date entered: 21/12/2018 Chart sales: 351,800 Chart run: 54-61-12-13-17-36-43-57-70-89-x [10 weeks] The biggest album track from 'Different World' and Alan's 4th highest track in this rundown, with great production as ever and a rare story focused song lyrically which I find rather interesting. #153. Lil Tecca ~ Ransom Date entered: 12/07/2019 Chart sales: 353,100 Chart run: 88-x-75-53-44-25-26-42-49-76-91-x [10 weeks] The breakthrough hit from Lil Tecca which doesn't offer anything new but it's very catchy. #152. Marnik ~ Up & Down Date entered: 24/05/2019 Chart sales: 354,100 Chart run: 7-13-19-35-38-47-61-83-x [8 weeks] A great BJSC find which somehow mashes up a kids choir with a thumping dance beat and makes it work. #151. TheFatRat and Anjulie ~ Close To The Sun Date entered: 27/09/2019 Chart sales: 355,100 Chart run: 1-3-5-10-11-21-27-34-37-40-… [10 weeks] TheFatRat's third #1 hit in my chart, and although it'll easily remain the least selling of all of them it is another great track from him. It reworks one of his tracks from 2018 into a fully fleshed out song with added strings and vocals. Definitely worth a listen if you enjoyed his tracks in BJSC (because I'm not sending him for a third time). Personal recommendation oJuGlqO85YI Check out the tracks announced so far on Spotify

December 10, 20195 yr Up & Down is my favourite of yours from the last few sections, another fab discovery from BJSC this year & I'm gutted it didn't win! Giving Close to the Sun a listen now, very nice tropical beats! I'd happily listen to this again.
