Beat Leicester on Boxing Day and that first PL is yours. *sigh* You're certainly a more well-oiled outfit now compared to the swashbuckling, free-scoring for fun monster a few years back. Just doing enough to win every match thrown at you, pretty much an evolved form of Mourinho's 05-06 Chelsea! We just play in a different way now, mainly through an element of control. I loved the heavy metal football but it left us too open against some of the lesser teams. Now we have a squad of about 18 players who can win at all costs through a multiple of ways. Just got to enjoy it while it lasts as inevitably we'll start to have to replace some of the players in the next 2-3 years. Is it true that European teams really don't care about this championship? Well, the media don't care about it too much.. I do think a lot of it comes down to the fact English teams take part once every 10 years and it's right before the biggest part of the football season in English football.
December 23, 20195 yr 2/3 years? Prob at the end of this season! I can't see it unless someone pushes for a move. I'm sure I read an article where the club expects our peak to be 2019-2020 and then 2020-2021, then to move in to a small transition period. I get the impression we'll buy a few players in the summer and one of Mane/Salah could leave.
