December 23, 20195 yr My guess for the top 5: 1 Stormzy 2 Mariah Carey 3 Wham! 4 Lewis Capaldi 5 Ellie Goulding or possibly Dua Lipa The Stormzy track is awful and as I've posted before Lewis Capaldi has an awful voice. I went for Ellie or Dua at number 5 as it's hard to predict how Ellie is doing due to streams from sites other than Amazon having a 24 hour delay which helps boost Ellie at the start of the week. Speaking of the 24 hour delay I've read that Spotify etc all report on the morning of the daily updates (usually by 8am) but anything submitted later than not long after midnight cannot be used for that day. Why don't the OCC just produce a later update? It would make the updates and the final Friday chart more accurate.
December 23, 20195 yr Not sure why I thought this but maybe because the classics just explode this week and the newer ones get forgotten about but this isn't always the case.

It's not as if they need someone to press a button to provide the data. There is no reason why they shouldn't be able to send it by 1am.
December 24, 20195 yr I voted Stormzy. But I want Mariah! This week genuinely feels like it's Christmas chart week aha!
December 24, 20195 yr 18th - 25th December so it'll be week ending 1st Jan. But means the week of maximum Xmas impact will be combined with the official xmas chart so we won't have two big Xmas weeks like the last two years.
December 24, 20195 yr When Christmas Day is on a Friday - what week's chart has the Christmas #1? in that case the Christmas #1 is announced on Christmas day itself. I believe this was the case when Military Wives took Christmas #1.
December 27, 20195 yr Author The song more than half of us thought would be #1 didn't even make top 4!
December 27, 20195 yr 7/107 getting it correct  And some of those were added this afternoon after the chart leaked online
December 27, 20195 yr Author Ellie had 5 votes when I checked on Xmas day with around 5%, it really was one of the least predictable charts in years
