It's a first week on top, and second in total some 6 years on, for the remix of Roxette's fab The Sweet Hello The Sad Goodbye, a Xmas tribute to the sad loss of the Marie Fredriksson, and originally a 1991 B side that has charted 3 times for me now. That keeps off a Christmas classic that I just keep coming back to each year, heartwarming as ever to remind me that the stress horror that is Xmas each year is for a good reason, Chris Rea's Driving Home For Christmas first made my top 10 in 1986, hit a new peak of 4 in 1994, and finally hit the top spot in 2017 its 13th chart year, and its 7th top appearance.

Sparks enter with a christmass-ish new track with a fab theme for everyone. The title says it all. That's Sparks 45th year of top 20's, since they topped my chart in 1974. Doris Day gets a christmas top 30 with a 60's track, Andy Burrows is back with his charming The Snowman And The Snowdog song, Mud also return with their 1974 UK chart-topper which topped my chart in 1985 and pops back from time to time when I'm in a wistful, whimsical mood, the song was both a sad Xmas song and a pastiche of Elvis Presley doing a sad Xmas song, so its always mixed emotions a bit.

I love to see Roxette on top of your chart, I am ashamed I've discovered that track just after Marie's passing :(

Hi John!

Nice to see Roxette at the top of the chart, even though I've never heard this one, but I like "The Look" and it's nice to see it here gaining a bit!

I also like that "Blinding Lights" is in your top 10!

Great chart!

Hi John,

Wow it´s still Christmas; Chris Rea entering at no 2 :yahoo:

Maybe it will find the way back to my chart to :D

George Michael up again :cheer:

Happy New Year !!!!
