I've been enjoying nearly everything I've heard from her solo stuff so far - I thought 'Roses/Lotus/Violet/Iris' was kind of just more of the same as the singles from the 'Petals For Armor I' EP (really liked it and all but not quite as much as 'Simmer' and 'Leave It Alone') but 'Over Yet' is a welcome switchup, much more upbeat! Almost has a bit of a HAIM flavour to it.
'Over Yet' has been creeping up on me more and more, new favourite of the era  I get the HAIM comparison, specifically to 'If I Could Change Your Mind'.
Over Yet is very quickly becoming a favourite from here! Eagerly awaiting this album *.*

The whole album is out now, it's laid out as 3 discs on Spotify with PFA1 being Disc 1 and PFA2 being Disc 2, then 5 new songs are on Disc 3. It's a strange way to release an album releasing 10/15 songs before it's out though  That said this is a really strong album, I'd say Pure Love is my favourite from the new bunch but that could easily change

If this had just stopped after the first two EPs it'd have been pretty close to an all killer no filler 10 track album (the only songs among those first 10 that I wasn't super sold on were 'Cinnamon', 'Creepin'' and 'My Friend', and the latter two are both sounding better than I remember now when listening through the album in full). As it were, listening to this almost felt like I was just listening to a deluxe version of that 10 track album with a bunch of throwaway cuts tagged on the end, the only one of the five new songs that comes close to the quality of the rest for me is 'Sugar On The Rim' which was a bit of an unexpected bop (sounds a bit sonically out of place with most of the rest of the album, randomly straying into camp dance bop territory, but I'll take it). The other 4 new songs are all ok but I don't really feel any need to go back to any of them.

Still, there are plenty of great songs on here so I can't really complain too much, just a bit of a shame that the ultra drawn out release strategy kind of killed a lot of the anticipation for the official album release and then it ultimately didn't really feel worth it when getting to the new songs at the end. Maybe I'd have been more receptive to the new songs if she just continued with the dripfeeding so I'd then be paying more individual attention to each song? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Disc 2 > Disc 1 > Disc 3 x (and 'Over Yet' is easily my fave song from the album overall, followed by 'Simmer', 'Roses/Lotus/Violet/Iris' and 'Leave It Alone' <3)

I agree with this to a certain extent. Pure Love has really clicked with me as has Taken but less so. As much as I like Sugar On The Rim it's so extremely out of place here  There are a few moments on this album where you think "oh okay, yeah I can imagine this being on After Laughter" but then there's Sugar On The Rim that just throws all expectations out the window! I like it but wow what a shock

Had a listen to this on Friday, I was disappointed - not because it was bad, but because it went totally over my head. When I first heard "Simmer" I was impressed, but after a few weeks I started feeling irritated whenever it shuffled on, and nothing else has stuck. The album bored me to no end. I might give it another shot over the coming week because I'm surprised that this is how I felt.
I loved this more than I expected, wasn't hugely taken by a lot of the songs on their own as they were released but as a whole I like the 3 part concept, there's a distinct feeling to each part that you move through with the album. Sudden Desire, Pure Love, Over Yet and Sugar On The Rim are the highlights for me!

I picked 'Pure Love' as my current single from the album as I thought they'd given up on any new release, one of my favs!
