Belfast's Carl Frampton and Michael Conlan could fight for world titles in the summer, promoter Bob Arum says.

Frampton's super-featherweight world title fight with Jamel Herring was set to take place in June, with Conlan set to challenge for a belt in August.

Both contests were likely to be held at outdoor venues in Belfast but the Covid-19 pandemic has forced a rethink.

"We're going to do these fights. The question is on which side of the Atlantic they take place," said Arum.

Rules boxers would have to follow, when boxers return:

Fight shows to begin without any fans

Boxers, referees and trainers will be transported to the venue wearing personal protective masks

A fighter may remove their protective mask when inside the ring - but referees and teams in the corner must keep theirs on

Boxers may not spit in their respective corners

No ring announcers, ring girls or TV cameras inside the ring

All proposed venues must be reviewed by the BBBofC and "cleaned to a medical standard" before the event

Only "essential" officials, promoters and broadcasters can attend

Individuals in high-risk categories such as pregnant women, those "seriously overweight" or people with diabetes should not attend

Everyone at an event must be tested for Covid-19

All boxers, trainers and referees must be tested for Covid-19 48 hours before fight night and self-isolate at a hotel until their test result is known

Mike Tyson's potential return to boxing will present promoters with a moral dilemma, says Eddie Hearn.

Speculation Tyson, 53, could make some form of comeback has grown since he stated "I'm back" in a recent video.

Hearn says someone linked to Tyson "reached out" to him about a meeting.

The promoter told British Boxing Television: "I would probably like to see it but ... is it a bit irresponsible to let a 53-year-old legend back in the ring?"

Former world heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield would fight Mike Tyson again - if his old rival asks.

Holyfield, 57, who retired in 2014, won their two previous bouts in the 1990s, including the infamous 'Bite Fight' in 1997 when Tyson was disqualified.

Both have planned returns for charity and Holyfield said a three-round fight was possible "if he [Tyson] wants to".

"If I ask him it's almost like me being a bully saying I want to go against somebody I've beaten twice," he added.

British world heavyweight champions Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury have agreed to a two-fight deal, says promoter Eddie Hearn.

Talks over a historic bout for the undisputed title began in early May.

Joshua, 30, holds the WBA, IBF and WBO belts while 31-year-old Fury is the WBC champion.

"It's fair to say [Joshua and Fury] are in agreement regarding the financial terms," Hearn, who is Joshua's promoter, told Sky Sports News.

"We're in a good place. It's fair to say that, in principle, both guys have agreed to that fight. Two fights."

Fury expressed his delight at the news in a social media post. The Manchester-born boxer said he would fight Joshua in 2021, but would first have to overcome the "hurdle in the road" Deontay Wilder, in a third meeting. Fury is contracted to fight the American, from whom he won the WBC title in February.

Haha I'll believe Joshua vs Fury when it actually happens.. absolutely money maker if it does happen though.

Jarrell Miller says he is "outraged" after returning positive doping tests in successive fights and insists he should not be banned for life.

Jamel Herring's WBO super-featherweight title defence has been called off after he tested positive for Covid-19.

Herring, who has been linked with a title defence against Belfast man Carl Frampton for some time, was supposed to fight Jonathan Oquendo on Tuesday.

"I am hoping my team can reschedule soon," said a disappointed Herring, 34.

Frampton is expected to fight behind closed doors in the UK this summer and he was hoping to then face Herring before Christmas.

Whether the postponement of Herring's latest fight against Puerto Rican Oquendo complicates those plans remains to be seen.

It's the second time the American has tested positive for coronavirus after a previous diagnosis on 22 June.

World heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua will fight "anywhere, anytime", says his promoter Eddie Hearn.

The British boxer, 30, has not fought since he regained his WBA, IBF and WBO heavyweight titles from Andy Ruiz Jr last December due to Covid-19.

Hearn has erected a ring in the grounds of his Essex estate in a bid to resurrect the sport for an event dubbed 'Fight Camp'.

"Joshua would fight here [at Hearn's home], no problem," Hearn said.

"If we were faced with the option of having no fans for an Anthony Joshua fight, we would still look to go ahead. He's spent a lot of time training out here in this garden so he would have no problem fighting here himself.

"He was here a couple of weeks ago. He loves to fight, to box and it's not just about fighting in a huge arena - Wembley Stadium, Madison Square Garden - it's about boxing.

"We want him to be in front of crowds. But for his career, for his development, he needs to fight this year."

Katie Taylor will defend her women's lightweight world titles against Spaniard Miriam Gutierrez on 14 November.

The Taylor-Gutierrez bout will top the bill in a triple-header of women's world title fights at the Fight Camp event in Essex.

Taylor defeated Delfine Persoon in a gruelling encounter in the Matchroom Fight Camp in August to remain the undisputed champion.

Gutierrez has won all 13 of her professional fights and is a mandatory challenger, having claimed the interim WBA belt last November.

She defeated Venezuelan Keren Batiz to claim that title.

The other bouts on the bill will see Terri Harper take on Katharina Thanderz for the WBC super featherweight title, with Rachel Ball fighting Ebanie Bridges for the WBA bantamweight title.
