Oh FFS there’s more important stuff going on than his general mood.

So you think the mood of the POTUS is not important? What if there's a dire emergency with a foreign rogue power and he decides "oh f*** it, as I'm in a bad mood I'll just nuke them"

I'd say it's very important.

I did read that one reason for having this rally rather than cancel or postpone it was to try and cheer Donald up as he's been moody and very down lately, partly due to the polls recently. He's starting to think he may well lose and is NOT HAPPY at all. Staff close to him are worried about him right now and even want to hide any more bad polls. Remember he hates losing. They thought it may cheer him up to see such a huge crowd of his adoring fans. They did think more people may turn up to a socially distanced outside event but the Secret Service weren't having it.:)

Poor sweetie, if only he had millions in his back pocket to cheer him up just a little bit. Poor poor relatable down to earth person. Sorry, I meant ‘person’.

It is not so important that it is worth risking lives. If the orange thing is that sensitive, he's in the wrong job.

I believe the lives of the Oklahoma people are more important than the buthurt feelings of a president coming down to reality

The state has seen recordbreaking new cases in the past few days :')

If he makes stupid and idiotic decisions because he’s in a grump then it’s far too dangerous for him to be in that job.

I usually don't allow my children to play with nukes unless they have done their homework and dishes.

Every one of these swing States Trump won in 2016. According to the experts at 538.Com, Biden only needs to take the top three, with double digit leads, and everything else to remain as in 2016, to put him in the White House. Florida and two others is preferable as it has more Electoral College votes.

Seems to be only me interested in one of the most important US Presidential elections in years!

Biden's VP shortlist apparently has been whittled down to 4 choices

Biden’s four VP finalists, per CNN: Kamala Harris, Val Demings, Elizabeth Warren and Keisha Lance Bottoms.

I think he'll go with Harris, 55, then if he doesn't seek a second term or if he doesn't even make the possibility she can be poised to become the first female President. Apparently they don't want to lose Warren's senate seat.

I suspect people might be interested but just don’t want to talk to you about it.

Well I can't see why not. I mostly post facts and polls and am actually of the opinion now that Trump won't be re-elected. Biden only needs to not do anything really wrong now before polling day. Needs to do well in the debates too, unless Trump cancels the or just refuses to appear as is rumoured now. I'd say he has nothing to lose though.
Given the fact that Trump struggled to say anything coherent in an interview with a supportive journalist on Fox News recently, I'm sure he would love to avoid the usual debates. He couldn't even answer a question about his plans for a second term - possibly the most obvious question for an incumbent seeking re-election to be asked.

The trend right now is looking pretty blue, with swing states in the Midwest suddenly looking fairly safely Biden, and no real indication of what Trump is doing that will have any chance of winning them back.

I don't want to sound too hopeful, there's still a long way to go until November, but at the moment, it's looking good.

I think it’s pretty bad that things are looking very good for the Democrats right now. The Republicans have already proven on repeated occasions they do not care for legitimacy or about democracy and will gladly do everything they can to Tilt the scales of the election through ID rules, closing polling places in black neighbourhoods and striking millions from the electoral register. If things were looking more Red they’d be a bit more complacent. If I was the Dems I’d be fighting like I was 25 points down in any state with a red governor and red state legislature’s

> Wanting Biden to win to stop the world's second largest democracy re-electing a fascist.

> Wanting Biden to win to show up Michael on Buzzjack.com after his tedious spite for moderates and inability to accept Sanders' defeat led him to incessantly prophetise doom when nothing is guaranteed.

Both equally valid reasons imo!!!

Ideally the scale of the victory will be too big to fix.

MI, PA and AZ seem to have reasonably fair elections and these are three of the four tipping point states. I'm more worried about chaotic result not being known for days or even weeks due to a massive increase in postal voting, with Trump claiming victory based on partial data, with widespread belief in a fix developing as the full picture begins to emerge.

I wonder if Trump's thrown in the towel. According to DS posters he's done two recent interviews and said, exact words, "Biden will be your next President". One was the Fox interview the other day and I've seen the video. He says it's because "some people don't like me" LOL. He's then asked if Biden will complete the wall and says "yes I think it has to be cpmpleted"

Donald Trump may drop out of the 2020 presidential race if he believes he has no chance of winning, a Republican Party operative reportedly told Fox News.

The claim comes in a report in the president’s favourite news outlet that cites a number of GOP insiders who are concerned about Mr Trump’s re-election prospects amid abysmal polling numbers.

Joe Biden, the presumptive Democratic nominee, currently holds an average lead of nine points over the incumbent, according to a tracker of 2020 polls by RealClearPolitics.

Crucially, Mr Trump has lost support from older white voters — typically a bedrock of support for the Republican Party and a group that was crucial to his narrow 2016 victory. Mr Trump is also trailing the former vice president in almost all the swing states.

“It’s too early, but if the polls continue to worsen, you can see a scenario where he drops out,” one anonymous GOP operative told Fox News.

Charles Gasparino, the author of the Fox News report, said in a series of tweets that he had spoken to “major players” in the Republican party for the story. One of them described Mr Trump’s mood as “fragile” as his chances of a second-term looked increasingly dim.

Another of the GOP sources cited in the report said of the likelihood that Mr Trump will drop out: “I’ve heard the talk but I doubt it’s true. My bet is, he drops if he believes there’s no way to win. Pence would be sworn in as President and become the presumptive nominee for November although this would have to be confirmed by the party"
