Have you even read a transcript of the full 85 minute speech? I doubt many people have. They've seen selected clips on TV. Go read it and get back to me.

No one needs to now, Trump is fully over after Wednesday.

Well, regardless of what YOU think - he has been impeached for incitement of an insurrection. He won't be convicted because of the supermajority required in Congress.

The 14th Amendment would preclude him from running in 2024 anyway...

Yes I know that and I'm reading that he may take it to Court and let a jury decide, rather than The Senate, Democrats and Trump haterz around the world.

I'd rather not inject that poison into me mind x

No, because despite being on lockdown and unable to leave the house except for work/exercise and shopping, I still have better things to do. Shockingly!

Trump "haters" have nothing to do with it. It is supposed to be a republic, and there are no kings above the law. Besides, Trump has rammed the courts with extremist jusges and Trump lovers...

There are a lot of people who hate Biden and think he's an illegitimate President. Will need the best security over the next few years and no mistakes or gaps. Hope he'll be okay. Mind you the most threatened Presidents ever have been Obama and Trump and they've been just fine thanks to the brilliant Secret Service that Trump always praises.

They may think he’s illegitimate but the facts tell a different story.

What point are you trying to make here exactly? That Trump had no part in the insurrection and yet all the people interviewed during and after the mob attack on Congress recite words he has spoken in his speeches since the election on the 3/11? He hasn’t even admitted defeat even though he lost and the maths show he lost badly it wasn’t even actually close tbh.

I am just quoting US lawyers who say the case in legal terms regarding the insurrection isn't as clear cut as all you Trump haters would like it to be. They're looking at it from a neutral point of view, like any court case should be looked at, and not from a Trump haters POV. Not once did he say to go and invade the Capitol and attack people.

The courts have decided that Trump's claims that the election was stolen were unfounded but that doesn't stop many Americans, and many around the world, still believing that it was. Maybe a full recount would have satisfied everyone. I don't know.

Stop calling us Trump haters. Stop making it seem like we have some issue and can’t see straight about this. He made a speech telling his followers to act and they did so. If this had been Biden of Hilary, you wouldn’t be showing them this level of support.

There was a recount in Georgia. Then another one. Neither of the recounts changed the result by much and there is no reason to believe things would be different anywhere else. None of the states had a winning margin anywhere near close enough to be overturned by a recount. How very different from Florida 2000 when the Republicans successfully prevented a full recount and were able to declare themselves the winners by a few hundred votes - a result that was decisive in giving the election to Bush.

If there should be one takeaway message from the last page/page and a half in this thread (and indeed the last FIVE YEARS) is that you should never assume that what someone says (especially someone with a vested interest ie. paid lawyers, partisan politicians, partisan commentators etc) is fact. Trump incited violence and insurrection. Fact. Biden won the election. Fact. That people are paid to argue against both does not dispute either of them as facts.
We hate Trump for what he's done, we are not 'Trump haters'. There's a big difference.

But lawyers aren’t neutral? They are paid a lot of money by rich people like trump so they don’t have to follow the rules like normal people!

And yes he did ask his supporters to come to Washington that day for a rally!

Chris needs Trump to have said "go storm the Capitol" but even then he would've still found an excuse. "It was just a joke guys", "he's so funny lolmao", "he's so unafraid to say stuff like this what a hero". I f***ing guarantee.

Yup always finds a way to support the unsupportable even after what’s happened. And then just say I’m just quoting from some article lol
Imagine a world where LAWYERS of all people are supposed to be the beacons of truth    Girl, it's LITERALLY their job to disagree with whatever doesn't fit their narrative.
I was watching last night some documentary about the capitol and reporter was asking Trump supporters what they think about the event and they were all cheering and making themselves proud about it. Also everyone was convinced that Antifa and BLM were the first ones who broke into Capitol that day  it’s so ridiculous!!!

Anyone see The New Yorkers new footage of inside the congress during the insurrection? All sayin that Ted Cruz would have wanted us to do this and the like?

Also the rich property mogul from Texas who went on tv asking for a presidential pardon as she’s shocked she may be in trouble with the law for what she did!

Well he's spending all day tomorrow dishing out hundreds of pardons so she may be lucky.
