I honestly don’t know how to react to these weird ass MAGA maniacs anymore :lol:

I mean, that is an extreme example of someone who may not be all there or is just so consumed by religious bullshit (not that I have any problem with spreading it, harmful roots of fascism shite + it's funny in its ineptness) but there are far too many MAGA-ites like that, and even more less vocal ones who'll agree with the sentiment, and all of that isn't going away any time soon, messages like these are being fed out and Trump will do everything to encourage it and cultivate this weird sect of people who believe that the election was stolen from them and that all of America's institutions are against them. That's the next grift. It'll work too. Trumpism unfortunately isn't defeated just because Trump is, we can laugh now but it's a real problem.

 

Best we can hope for is that the Republican Party continues disassociating and if Trump doesn't concede formally, they must. I fear they might stick with the 'election stolen' narrative, no matter how untrue it may be.

 

George Monbiot's column from a few days ago has been sticking in my mind, if all these people are swept up again by a competent bad guy, 2024 will be very dangerous.
