Genuinely, relax. Trump will posture but his coup attempts are laughable and every further appearance of Rudy Giuliani sweating out every bit of water in his body is a further indication of how ineffectual Trump will be at seizing power.

 

As for the upcoming 4 years, tune out to take a break by all means, the Trump administration will have exhausted most politics followers, but I do not think these next 4 years will be normal or boring in the slightest. Trump's defeat doesn't take away American inequality, the civil rights struggle, the prevalance of Trumpian ideology, the 'election stolen' narrative, there's a lot to get done to fix America.

 

If it will be boring at all, it will be as a breathing space for the forces of polarisation to be ready to make their cases in 2024 - and it remains to be seen whether either mainstream party will allow that, though with the Republicans far more likely to acquiesce to far-right forces again than the Democrats are to let progressivism truly take control.

They say he plans to fly to his Florida resort about a week before Christmas and not return to the White House at all. His attitude is that Biden's stolen the election so let him have a mountain of paperwork to do on 21st Jan. He's really acting like a petulant child and should be working as normal until the day he leaves office. It's disgraceful and someone should have a stern word with him.

Never would have thought something like this could happen as NY is a blue state but I guess that's why its called the Supreme Court.

 

Will Biden not be able to get much laws/legislation through as president (because of the pro-Republican tilt of the Supreme Court) even if the Dems win control of the Senate in the Georgia runoffs?
