Nobody who is carrying Covid should be in a studio taking part in or watching a debate. If the debate goes ahead, it should be done remotely.

Twitter is asking "Where's Trump?" Hasn't been seen today and no videos or tweets for a while. 5pm in Washington and he's said to be in the Oval Office. A marine is outside the window, which only usually happens if he's in there. However speculation that he left in secret via underground tunnels back to Walter Reed hospital. Hope he's okay and hasn't got worse. I still have a nasty feeling about all this.

Has anyone seen Trump's latest video on Twitter? He starts by saying "hi it's your favourite President here" :D The right side of his face, left as we look at him, doesn't seem right at all. He has a big bulge under the eye and one below that. Seems his face is lopsided. Speculation that he's had a small stroke.

vice-presidential debate was pretty awful, pence basically dodged every single question, harris did averagely but nothing outstanding

 

only notable moment was the fly which sat on pence's head for almost 3 minutes, freshly-warmed corpse etc etc

I can't believe Pence got away with not answering one single question he was being asked and him speaking way over his allocated time. It's sad that every lie that he spit people will eat it up and believe it!!!

 

Kamala did as good as she could I guess, with the exception on racial issues where I felt like she could have pushed it further.

The most egregious was when Pence was asked if he'd had any conversation with Trump about what they might do in terms of 'presidential disability' (obvious code for premature incapacitation or death), possibly the most important question in the debate, he ignored the entire question to go and needlessly rebut Harris on the previous question about his coronavirus response, going over his allotted time to do so. The moderator just let it happen which was astonishing.

 

Though Harris answered the same question with a dreary anecdote about how brilliant the day of being asked to be Biden's running mate was so it's not like she answered that one directly either. They were probably instructed to not answer that one straight.

Oh and Kamala Harris saying during the debate, and tweeting that Joe Biden would never ban fracking directly after is another one for the

category of things the Democrat team are determined to do in this campaign followed by Trump/Pence sneering 'you just lost the radical left'. Yes the fracking thing is to shore up the Rust Belt vote. It is still a horrific thing to support.

Trump has said he will not take part in a virtual debate.

Donald Trump has thrown plans for his second presidential debate with Democratic challenger Joe Biden into disarray after saying he will not take part in a virtual event.

 

The president's declaration came less than an hour after organisers announced that the debate would be taking place virtually.

 

"I will not waste my valuable time on a virtual debate " he said.

Translation: I can’t stop this ship from sinking so I won’t bother.

 

What’s even the point and reasoning behind refusing to debate remotely....... So beyond stupid.
