Referred to as the "Songbird Supreme" by Guinness World Records, she is noted for her five-octave vocal range, melismatic singing style, and signature use of the whistle register. She rose to fame in 1990 after signing to Columbia Records and releasing her eponymous debut album, which topped the U.S. Billboard 200 for eleven consecutive weeks. Soon after, Carey became the only artist ever to have their first five singles reach number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart, from "Vision of Love" to "Emotions". Following her marriage to Sony Music head Tommy Mottola, Carey achieved worldwide success with follow-up albums Music Box (1993), Merry Christmas (1994), and Daydream (1995). These albums spawned some of Carey's most successful singles, including "Hero", "Without You", "All I Want for Christmas Is You", "Fantasy", "Always Be My Baby", as well as "One Sweet Day", which became the U.S. best-performing single of the 1990s. After separating from Mottola, Carey adopted a new image and incorporated more elements of hip hop into her music with the release of Butterfly (1997). Billboard named her the country's most successful artist of the 1990s, while the World Music Awards honored her as the world's best-selling recording artist of the 1990s. After eleven consecutive years charting a U.S. number-one single, Carey parted ways with Columbia in 2000 and signed a $100 million recording contract with Virgin Records. However, following her highly publicized physical and emotional breakdown, as well as the critical and commercial failure of her film Glitter (2001) and its accompanying soundtrack, her contract was bought out for $50 million by Virgin and she signed with Island Records the next year. After a relatively unsuccessful period, she returned to the top of music charts with The Emancipation of Mimi (2005), which became the world's second best-selling album of 2005. Its second single, "We Belong Together", became the U.S. best-performing single of the 2000s. In 2009, she was cast in the critically acclaimed film Precious, which won her Breakthrough Actress Performance Award at the Palm Springs International Film Festival. Throughout her career, Carey has sold more than 200 million records worldwide, making her one of the best-selling music artists of all time. With a total of 19 songs topping the Billboard Hot 100, Carey holds the record for the most number-one singles by a solo artist, a female songwriter, and a female producer. According to the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), she is the second-best-selling female artist in the United States, with 66.5 million certified albums. In 2012, she was ranked second on VH1's list of the 100 Greatest Women in Music. Aside from her commercial accomplishments, Carey has won five Grammy Awards, nineteen World Music Awards, ten American Music Awards, and fifteen Billboard Music Awards. She has consistently been credited with inspiring a generation of singers, and is hailed as being one of the pioneers of pop and contemporary R&B music. - Wikipedia Top 100 Chart History 1990 09 Vision Of Love -1- 1990 37 Love Takes Time -2- 1991 38 Someday -3- 1991 54 There's Got To Be A Way -4- 1991 17 Emotions -1- 1992 20 Can't Let Go -2- 1992 17 Make It Happen -3- 1992 02 I'll Be There (feat. January 5, 20206 yr comment catch up: How Deep Is Your Love is a big fave of Calvin's for me. Work is a right bop although I wish it was What's My Name in here. Cold Water and Don't Let Me Down also rather good tracks. Don't Stop Believin and Wonderwall *_* iconic songs but the wrong decade! (although DSB actually had a great chart run in 2010) We Are Young another good tune, seems very forgotten now though for how big it was. Also enjoyed Ghost a fair bit, and it's great to have Ella back in the chart now after all that time between eras too. Ew at Let It Go though, still hate the song. Shout Out To My Ex is rather meh too. Sing was great by Ed Sheeran's standards. One Last Time one of my faves from Ariana too. Don't You Worry Child YES what a song!!! Starboy another choon, glad it's the highest from The Weeknd although I would've taken The Hills as well. A Thousand Years is lovely but I wish it was Jar of Hearts here. Mariah Carey *__* And she'd be a good 20 places higher at least in actuality.

But no one should have been shocked: Any 14-year-old capable of persuading her parents to move from suburban Pennsylvania to Nashville for her career clearly has ambition to burn. And the thrill of following Swift’s rise has been watching her execute it flawlessly, largely because her melodic intelligence is equal to that ambition. Her early, youthful love songs heralded 2010's newly self-possessed Speak Now—which showed off her scathing wit—and evolved into knowing, ironclad pop fare that held its own against boisterous Max Martin production on 1989, her fifth album, titled after her birth year. Throughout, her songwriting has blurred the lines between the public and private, burying enough real-life clues (about, say, scarves and Starbucks) to make clear that only Swift can own her narrative, thank you very much, while still retaining a lyrical elegance. Though 2017's reputation might have been perceived as a gorgeously constructed piece of dramatic theatre—its attendant heroes and villains all real-life characters from Swift's public feuds—all that spectacle proved an attention-grabbing cover for her most romantic album to date. - iTunes Top 100 Chart History 2009 02 Love Story -1- MILLIONAIRE 2009 60 White Horse -AT- 2009 51 Teardrops On My Guitar -2- 2009 100 Crazier -OST- 2009 30 You Belong With Me -3- 2010 57 Today Was A Fairytale -OST- 2010 30 Mine -1- 2012 67 Safe & Sound (feat. Riding the success of platinum single "Hold Back the River," his 2015 debut Chaos and the Calm was a breakthrough, soaring to number one in the U.K. and landing in the Top 10 across Europe and Australasia. Incorporating fresh flair, he issued sophomore effort Electric Light in 2018. Hailing from the North Hertfordshire market town of Hitchin, Bay honed his skills regionally, eventually landing high-exposure support slots with Tom Odell, John Newman, and Kodaline before inking a record deal with Republic/Universal in 2012. Bay soon began recording material, and charted the single "When We Were on Fire" in 2013. One year later, he landed a pair of songs in the British Top Ten; first, "Let It Go" peaked at number ten, and by the end of 2014, "Hold Back the River" hit number two (and charted in ten other countries). Bay's first full-length, Chaos and the Calm, appeared in March 2015, in time for him to play a handful of American dates, including showcases at the South by Southwest Music Conference in Austin, Texas. The album hit number one in Great Britain and Ireland, and debuted within the Top 20 in the U.S. During 2016, Bay earned a Brit Award for Best British Male Solo Artist, as well as Grammy nominations for Best New Artist, Best Rock Album, and Best Rock Song for "Hold Back the River." He returned in 2018 with the emotive single "Wild Love," which landed on his sophomore effort, Electric Light. Adele honed hers as a kid in her North London bedroom, imitating Etta James every night for an hour. But as soon as she made her televised debut in 2007 (on Later...With Jools Holland), all potential comparisons evaporated: This girl with the whopping hoop earrings and a pub landlady’s brashness had something unique. Heartbreak, indignation, and regret all found a natural home in her regal mezzo-soprano, the instrument that powered her 2008 debut album, 19, and took influence from the American South on 2011’s 21. Both of these albums broke records for breaking records, and made a subsequent operation on Adele’s vocal cords a matter of global import. She recovered immaculately—for proof, watch her comeback performance of “Rolling in the Deep” at the 2012 Grammys—and it took just one word to reintroduce her in 2015. “Hello,” she sang during an X Factor ad break, unveiling her world-conquering single and third album, 25, in the process. Like its predecessors, 25 upended 21st-century metrics and made Adele the first artist to earn the top-selling album of a calendar year three times. She’s now a mother and wife, and the agony of twenty-something heartbreak is well behind her. Vocalist and pianist Chris Martin, guitarist Jonny Buckland, bassist Guy Berryman, and drummer Will Champion met at University College London and began playing music together from 1996 to 1998, first calling themselves Pectoralz and then Starfish before finally changing their name to Coldplay. Creative director and former manager Phil Harvey is often referred to as the fifth member by the band. After changing their name to Coldplay, they recorded and released two EPs: Safety in 1998 and The Blue Room in 1999. The latter was their first release on a major record label, after signing to Parlophone. Coldplay achieved worldwide fame with the release of the song "Yellow" in 2000, followed in the same year by their debut album Parachutes, which was nominated for the Mercury Prize. The band's second album, A Rush of Blood to the Head (2002), was released to critical acclaim and won many awards, including NME's Album of the Year. Their next release, X&Y, the best-selling album worldwide in 2005, received mostly positive reviews, though some critics felt it was inferior to its predecessor. Their fourth studio album, Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends (2008), the best-selling album worldwide of 2008, was produced by Brian Eno and released to largely positive reviews, earning three Grammy Awards. In October 2011, Coldplay released their fifth studio album, Mylo Xyloto, which topped the charts in over 34 countries, was the UK's best-selling rock album of 2011, and received moderately positive reviews. Their sixth album, Ghost Stories, released in 2014, received mixed reviews and topped several national album charts. The following year the band released their seventh album, A Head Full of Dreams, which reached the top two in most major markets, but received generally mixed reviews. Four years later, in November 2019, they released their eighth album, Everyday Life, which received mainly positive reviews. Coldplay have won numerous awards throughout their career, including nine Brit Awards, six MTV Video Music Awards, seven MTV Europe Music Awards and seven Grammy Awards from 29 nominations. They have sold more than 100 million records worldwide, making them one of the world's best-selling music artists. Three of their albums—Parachutes, A Rush of Blood to the Head and X&Y—are among the best-selling albums in UK chart history. In December 2009, Rolling Stone readers voted the group the fourth-best artist of the 2000s. Coldplay have supported various social and political causes, such as Oxfam's Make Trade Fair campaign and Amnesty International. They have also performed at charity projects, including Band Aid 20, Live 8, Global Citizen Festival, Sound Relief, Hope for Haiti Now: A Global Benefit for Earthquake Relief, One Love Manchester, The Secret Policeman's Ball, Sport Relief and the UK Teenage Cancer Trust. - Wikipedia Top 100 Chart History The Chainsmokers 2014 11 #SELFIE -NAS- 2016 16 Roses (feat. January 5, 20206 yr Author Thanks to everyone who's taken part so far, both on here and on Watch2Gether. However, it seems somebody's trying to have fun by messing around with the stream - anyone who does so is not just getting themselves banned from the chat, they're ruining the enjoyment and hard work of everybody here. Please don't do it - I didn't spend Christmas Day planning this prep for the show to be messed around!
January 5, 20206 yr Shake It Off - a rather fun effort from Taylor, I enjoyed this Old Town Road - okay track but not a huge fave Let It Go - well at least it's not bad like the other Let It Go but it's a bit dull Rolling In The Deep - yes! a very good pop track and deservedly gave Adele her superstar status Something Just Like This - I enjoyed this a fair bit too, Chainsmokers complement Coldplay well on it.

Winning their first Grammy Award in 2014 for the diamond-certified global smash "Radioactive" from their debut album, Night Visions, Imagine Dragons remained near the top of the charts for much of the 2010s, topping the Billboard 200 with 2015's Smoke + Mirrors. As their percussion-heavy sound shifted more toward radio-friendly, stadium-ready anthems, they secured worldwide favor with 2017's Grammy-nominated Evolve, which delivered a trio of multi-platinum singles, "Believer," "Thunder," and "Whatever It Takes." The Las Vegas-based group had its genesis in Provo, Utah, where vocalist Dan Reynolds met drummer Andrew Tolman while the two attended Brigham Young University. In 2009, the group, which by this time included guitarist Daniel Wayne Sermon, bass player Ben McKee, and Tolman's wife Brittany Tolman on keys and backing vocals, had made a name for itself regionally and relocated to Reynolds' hometown of Las Vegas to record a pair of well-received EPs (Imagine Dragons and Hell and Silence) at the Killers' Battle Born Studios. A third EP, It's Time, arrived the following year and helped land the group a record deal with Interscope. The Tolmans parted ways with the group prior to the Interscope deal, and Daniel Platzman took over on drums. In 2012, Imagine Dragons hit it big with the Continued Silence EP and their debut long-player, Night Visions, the latter of which debuted at the number two spot on the Billboard 200 and landed the group multiple awards -- it later went double platinum in the U.S., largely on the smash success of the Grammy-winning hit "Radioactive," which became the biggest-ever digital rock track in America. During 2013, two other hits followed: "Demons" in the U.S. and "On Top of the World" elsewhere. The group spent the bulk of 2014 finishing its second album. Co-produced by Alex da Kid, Smoke + Mirrors arrived in February 2015 and debuted at number one, buoyed by the singles "I Bet My Life" and "Shots." The band toured often between June of 2015 and February of 2016, eventually releasing the concert set Smoke + Mirrors Live, recorded in 2015 at a sold-out Air Canada Centre in Toronto. They took a well-deserved break in 2016, making only a few sporadic forays into the studio to record three songs for soundtracks: "Not Today" for Me Before You, "Sucker for Pain" for Suicide Squad, and "Levitate" for Passengers. Imagine Dragons also recorded songs for their third proper album, releasing the lead single "Believer" in January 2017. The album, entitled Evolve, was released that June. As the name suggested, it saw the band continuing to change, emphasizing EDM-flavored pop and positive attitudes that translated to the hit singles "Whatever It Takes" and "Thunder." In early 2018, the band teamed up with R&B singer Khalid for a mashup of their respective hits "Thunder" and "Young Dumb & Broke." That summer, they released "Natural," which was the first single from their fourth album, Origins. Arriving in November 2018, Origins found the band working again with Jayson DeZuzio and Alex Da Kid, along with a host of newer producers. - iTunes Top 100 Chart History 2012 12 Radioactive -1- MILLIONAIRE 2012 37 Hear Me -EP- 2013 13 Demons -4- 2013 23 It's Time -2- 2013 34 On Top Of The World -3- 2014 54 Warriors -OST- 2015 91 Shots -2- 2015 27 I Bet My Life -1- 2016 11 Sucker For Pain (Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa & Imagine Dragons with Logic, Ty Dolla $ign & X Ambassadors) -OST- 2017 42 Believer -1- 2017 20 Thunder -2- 2017 93 Whatever It Takes -3- 2018 98 Next To Me -4- 2018 54 Born To Be Yours (Kygo & Imagne Dragons) 2018 49 Natural -1- 2018 44 Bad Liar -2- 0 x #1 | 0 x Top 5 | 0 x Top 10 | 4 x Top 20 | 8 x Top 40 | 16 x Top 100 Social Media Imagine Dragons http://i.imgur.com/1SERq1f.png

Born in Middlesbrough, England, Arthur had written and performed in various bands since the age of 15, as well as performing solo in pubs and bars in his hometown. Many of the singer/songwriter's early recordings illustrate the pop/rock and hip-hop influences that helped shape his unique voice and style. Before he appeared on The X Factor, Arthur made it into the final 200 contestants of the U.K.'s The Voice TV series in 2011, without managing to progress any further. A year later, he auditioned for The X Factor, where he sang judge Tulisa Contostavlos' song "Young" and subsequently made it through the boot-camp round and into the live shows. From then on, Arthur showcased his considerable talents and slowly improved under the watchful eye of mentor Nicole Sherzinger. He was pitted against Jahméne Douglas and Christopher Maloney in the final round of the contest, where he impressed the audience with performances of Cy Grant's "Feeling Good," Bob Dylan's "Make You Feel My Love," and Marvin Gaye's "Let's Get It On." The final song of the evening -- the version of Shontelle's "Impossible" -- was released immediately after Arthur was announced as the winner and made it to number one in the U.K. and Ireland, while also charting across Europe. He then went on tour with the X Factor show, playing across the U.K. in huge, sold-out arenas such as Wembley and the Birmingham LG. After his X Factor success, Arthur worked alongside singer/songwriter Labrinth and Graham Stack (JLS, Take That, Westlife) in preparation for his debut album. He put out the eponymous release later that year; the album featured "Impossible" and "Roses" (with Emeli Sandé), as well as follow-up singles "You're Nobody 'Til Somebody Loves You," "Recovery," and "Get Down." Arthur departed from Syco Music the following year and briefly returned to the scene with an independent release, the rap mixtape All the World's a Stage. The singer/songwriter made a return in 2016, signing a record deal with Columbia and issuing his second full-length effort, Back from the Edge. The stripped-down and reflective record was led by the singles "Say You Won't Let Go" and "Remember Who I Was." The next year, he was featured on Rudimental's "Sun Comes Up" and issued his own solo single, "Naked." Arthur released a string of singles in 2018, including "Rewrite the Stars," a duet with Anne-Marie that was featured on The Greatest Showman: Reimagined. - Wikipedia Top 100 Chart History 2012 01 Impossible -1- MILLION SELLER 2013 02 You're Nobody 'Til Somebody Loves You -2- 2013 97 Wrecking Ball (Alonzo Holt feat.
