Well, it doesn't matter what us lot think about Shine, fact is that it's selling loads as in general TT are getting huge sales which is what Rob would need right now to get the press of his back.

I bet a lot of things journos write about him now they were itching to write all the time, only they didn't dare too as long as he was having fantastic sales figures.

Now they seem to feel encouraged in slagging him off because the great Britis public has abandoned Rob, or at least doesn't buy his records anymore. Which is about the same to them. -_-

I agree, but when you think about it, Intensive Care was labelled as being a 'flop' and 'underperforming' etc by some of the media (The Sun, Mirror and NOTW if I remember correctly), and infact that album sold nearly 1.5 million in the UK in 2 months only, while TT's album has'nt sold anywhere near that in twice the time. They just clearly have it in for Rob, no matter what position She's Madonna went to they would've found some way of making it negetive, like the way they did when the Rudebox album went to #1, instead of saying how great it was he had got his 8th #1 album like they would with any other act, they slagged off that it had'nt sold as much as IC. There is no way he can win. It is just pure Hypocrisy and ignorance far beyond all limits.

The British press did the same with George Michael as well. Tried to end his career. :(

Well, that was different in the sence that he had that infamous incident, while I don't see what Rob has done to warrent such treatment, <_<

But your right, George has been nowhere near as big since the press made such a massive deal about it. <_< Alhough he can still sell out Wembley very fast

I know RF4L thats why I have always hated unfair comments about Robbie, because it does send out vibes, and I knew that there would be a campaign against him somehow. :puke2:

The sad bit though is while Take That are around his name will pop up and in the negative. The way it has gone lately for Robbie, I really cannot see him joining TT now. How can he, because I know how it would read, and that would be shocking after someone has made a bigger name for himself out of the band.

So the press have moreorless scuppered that plan, and ruined it for all. :puke2:

Scotty, you're right about IC. They already nagged about that, although it had sold lots.

But if I remember correctly they only started it when the singles after Trippin did badly. <_<

No they made a big deal about Tripping not reaching #1 and IC being knocked off #1 after one week remember.

Monsoon, Tripping did very, very well in the UK. It was one of his biggest sellers of his new material. It also went on to be nominated at Ivor Novello Awards for best international single too.

It is shocking what the press are doing to Robbie's career they did trash him when IC stayed no.1 for a week, but they forgot to mention it sold 375,00 copies in the first week.

The press will not ruin Robbie's career, they are helping to do it, but Robbie himself will ruin it. Whoever thought up the release date of She's Madonna a week after TT need their head examining. Why are they making it worse for him and better for the press. A load of logheads I think sit at the EMI thinking desk.

If you want my honest truth, the next big seller would be an album with Guy Chambers. Although that is probably not in Robbie's mind at all. So really it is upto Robbie if he wants to stay popular. It is very apparent on the radio stations that they do not like his new stuff and always play his Williams/Chambers hits. The radio will only then give him the quality time he used to have.

and it would not surprise me to find out the press, radio and insiders went deliberatly out to 'get' Robbie over the GC split to prove a point, when they saw an opportunity.

Suse, TT are out in Australia, enjoy them, they are good. But Robbie is still the one that made it out of all of them and that must stand for something, as a foursome they put on a good show. As a solo star Robbie is the man!

the Uk should really be glad to see one of their artists to become the biggest foreign solo performer of the deacde in nearly EVERY european country. RW really is the UK only current World Mega Star...

I think if rob waits 2-3 years to release the next studioalbum that his career will def recover-.- although i don't want to wait so long to hear something new, he should really do it. His next album - the swing album- will prob also fail to match previous sales.

Yeah TT are good with all the special effects and half naked dancing girls that make Vegas shows look classy  Take all that away and there really wouldn't be anything there that wouldn't put arenas and stadiums to sleep. If all the 'extras' were taken away they'd be a dead bore.

Nice to know that when you said how much you enjoyed the gig last year and appreciated the ticket, you were lying

Unlike some people I don't lie. And as I recall I did pay you for your ticket.

Not that I have to justify anything, and especially not to you ... I did enjoy the gig. That doesn't mean I didn't find it tacky, cheap, low class etc etc. And yes if you took all the smoke and mirrors, fire, water, half naked dancing girls away they'd be dead boring and which is why they need that extra fluff as filler because without it they don't have much of anything interesting to hold an audience and entertain them.

I also like Vegas shows, and while some are tacky as well, they are much classier than anything TT had last year :puke: :puke2: and having heard Beautiful World they'll need a lot more filler this year to keep people from snoring.

You are not going to believe this but She's Madonna would've been #6 in the UK chart if downloads were taken away. :o Downloads are ruining him. :arrr:

It's all very strange. Ok, maybe Robbie fans are not in general the biggest downloaders in the world but TT fans seem to manage without any problem. Are TTs fans all teenage boys then?

Teenage girls don't you mean? :P

No, TT fans are known for being extremly supportive, especially with singles and polls etc. Also, not all of the people who would've bought it would've neccasarily been big TT fans.

Lovelight would've been #3 if I remember correctly and this at #6. I am well pissed off now.

No. I meant teenage boys. Aren't teenage boys by far the biggest downloaders?

I suppose yes, but I'm doubt most of the people downloading TT were teenage boys somehow. Most of them only like rap or heavy metal these days don't they?

Josh likes Shine. He's a teenager. :arrr:

He's an exception though. I mean he is Josh afterall :smoke:
