Ginger blames Scary for Spice Girls no-show

Geri Halliwell has pointed the finger at former bandmate Mel B for preventing the rumoured Spice Girls reunion for Live8 from taking place.

"We were all ready apart from Mel B," explained Ginger Spice in an interview with OK! magazine. "Victoria said maybe it's time to move on and I think she's got a point."

However, Halliwell - now mother to a six-month old daughter - refused to definitively quash all hope of a future reunion: "Maybe it's better to keep the Spice Girls as a memory but never say never. A taxi driver said to me we could still do a reunion even if one of us didn't want to do it, and look how well Take That's comeback has been received."

I always knew Scary was the Cow

They will come back, they all need the money

Why is Geri taking career advice from a taxi driver? No offense meant to taxi drivers in general, but just one of them saying a comeback could still work is no reason to risk millions of pounds on a comeback.

PS I'd love the Spice Girls to come back but I'm not getting excited until I see a record on the release schedule

I liked them @ the time they were out and I wont deny what they achieved was pretty amazing and I actually like the crappy movie.

However, while they had some brilliant songs that still sound good their albums were very dissapointing...I actually gave them away. The debut especially didn't have much to it apart from the singles and I didnt even get their 3rd because of the stupid r'n'b theme.

I think Girls Aloud put out much better songs in general and have much stronger album tracks that make an enjoyable album...I still enjoy their early songs where as I tired of Spice Girls tracks quickly.

cant deny their popularity, and they did create some good enough pop, not my taste though!

however it really doesnt mean that much, they were a successful product, thats all.

their solo careers have been varied... and wouldnt have amounted to anything if they werent ex spicegirls.

re-union?... nah... they are too old now, spicewomen? or just has-beens trying to re-capture past glory?..

Spice Girls to return for Diana gig

The Spice Girls will reunite for the Princess Diana memorial concert, according to a report.

All five former members are apparently in discussions over a comeback at the Wembley Stadium gig being organised by Princes William and Harry for July.

"The girls have all been waiting for the right opportunity to come along and this is it," a source told The People. "They agreed they would only do something extra special - so what better than the Diana concert?"

He added that the drive for the idea had come from Victoria Beckham. "Victoria got the ball rolling by getting in touch with the other girls," said the source. "They have discussed it in the past few weeks and all have said 'yes'.

"If everything goes to plan they will headline the gig and sing their most famous hits such as 'Wannabe' and 'Say You'll Be There'."

A source close to the Royal Family said the Princes would be delighted if the plan worked out. "It would be a dream come true for Wills and Harry if it comes off," he said. "They have happy memories of the girls' performances from childhood. They are involved with the plan and very keen for it to happen."

The group will also release a greatest hits album around the time of the gig, according to the paper. They previously considered reforming for Live8 but reports said the idea was blocked by Mel B.

i'll only believe it when the 5 of them sit together ina press conference and confirm it
