billed as the new cool sensation with a track on the recent nme album, if you like the streets, lily allen and jamie t you will surely love him!!!

 

however is just dodgy jazz-funk that should be dammed to live out its existance on smooooooth fm!!! and thats the truth!! (worst lyrics than alfresco/tesco too!!!! shocking)

The fact that that list contains the male & female singer's with personalities that I wished they were drowned at birth - Lily Allen & Gerard Way (MCR) says what a tragic parody of journalistic talent that the NME has become from it's late 1970s/1980s days.

I knew this would be Just Jack before I clicked on the video. He's much better than Lily or Jamie T (yuck) and is genuinely not bad. You might not like him, but describing him as Jay Kay is just not fair!

Lily is v $h!t, one of the worst artists to appear this year. thankfuly there is a site where you can hear all the old ska songs she has ruined with her warblings. which is good

Sneakily read the Cool List in NME last night at work and the no.1 cool person according to NME 2006 is...

Pete Docherty and Alex Turner weren't even in the top 10! Gerard Way, Jarvis Cocker and Lily Allen were though... I was quite surprised, actually

Here's the top 10, pinched from some random website:

 

1. Beth Ditto (her from The Gossip). She was really annoying on Popworld the other week, but she does have a good voice. Some people think she’s a fat Karen O, but some people are naughty.

 

2. Faris Rotter (him from The Horrors). The Horrors are great. They will take over 2007 like a gothic McFly. Then they will vanish.

 

3. Lily Allen. What a surprise.

 

4. Jarvis Cocker. This is a bit like a lifetime achievement in coolness award.

 

5. Karen O. Ms O, we salute you. You are our queen and we are your humble servants. Long may you rule.

 

6. Kieran Webster (him from The View). He will not be on this list next year.

 

7. Kate Jackson (The Long Blondes). She sounds like Debbie Harry singing Pulp and she wears a beret. Potentially a world-destroying pop icon who will spend next year appearing on every single magazine cover in the world.

 

8. Gerard Way (My Chemical Romance). Are My Chemical Romance cool to anyone above the age of 14? Really?

 

9. Thom Yorke. Being “cool†is probably the last thing Great Uncle Thom cares about. He probably makes little air-quotes with his finger when he says it.

 

10. Lovefoxxx (her from CSS). Probably the coolest person on the planet to have a name that sounds like an Outkast b-side

Nope, they're not really... I dont know anyone over the age of 18 who'd be willing to admit they actually like them..... I actually listened to some of that new album... I found it utterly laughable.....

 

The fact that Thom doesn't care about whether he's cool, is ironically, the very thing that does make him cool.... :lol:

But I agree with the MCR comment.. can't stand them. And i'm pretty indifferent about Yorke, but I suppose with his recent solo project, he had to be in there somewhere :mellow:
