With the way things are going, I suspect we will inevitably have a nationwide lockdown in the next month or so involving closure of some shops. Sadly if this happens then it will impact on album sales to some degree but it will depend on how long it lasts and any promotion will be vital. Bulk of sales will be preorder from fans.

Unfortunately I think we are all staring at a further lockdown and I agree it will effect sales but kylies pre orders will hold up very well in comparison to other artists. Streaming though will favour other albums

Looks like a circuit breaker lockdown likely. And no doubt it will not just last 2-3 weeks, probably 4 weeks so right in middle of Kylie release......

 

Also Townsend Music is based in Burnley which has a big rate of infection so let's hope it isnt shut down from distributing the pre orders!

 

Get another video made quick Kylie!!

 

And get some promo pre recorded!

 

The only good thing is Kylie fans will still want the album week one and will find a way of buying even if buying from Amazon etc and if the delivery is delayed then stream it as we need to

Worth remembering that lockdown didn’t seem to have a particularly bad effect on sales last time so I don’t see why Kylie would struggle should lockdown happen again.

Because HMV and other non essential music shops could be closed and no one goes shopping. So you are relying everything online and also steaming which Little Mix would dominate.

 

If Ariana Grande releases a single on 23rd or an album on 23rd then you do realise Kylie will release her buzz single I Like it on THURSDAY 22nd 😜

Plus the weeks before the 6th we already have big releases so she may as well stay for the 6th November
