I didn’t mind it tbh as I’m sure it will be Sharon heavy very soon and the majority of the Square was on the boat with different storylines and things going on attached to it .

Yeah I get that but there was so much focus on Ben looking for Callum and I’m not really arsed.

Bex casually walking into the Cafe to talk to Ian so soon after she nearly overdosed

In real life, Sharon, Bex, Mick, Linda, Ian and Ben would probably have had a slightly longer stint in the hospital.

1000% this! That’s why I assumed It was more than just one day later. It would’ve perhaps been more effective if every scene on Monday’s episode was in the hospital with the centric character being Sharon.

Still not enough Sharon :/

Omg this.

I had come round to the idea of Dennis being killed off. I'm disappointed that the potential the character had for themselves and the people around them is gone and that it'll take another decade and a half for that sort of material to arise again, but it does re-position the character of Sharon massively and opens up a potentially exciting and unpredictable chapter for her. It really grounds her character and should allow her to resonate with wider audiences - I know most of us here are huge fans of Sharon but to the wider public they see her as a caricature.

However, three scenes in the two immediate episodes since the event (as well as a significant reaction being cut from the Friday episode) is not good enough. The people who work on the show have defended the decision to kill Dennis but I see no justification so far. I'm sure we'll get a proper aftermath but it should be happening right now. These are crucial moments we are missing out on and for what? So Ben can have yet another storyline?

To focus on a positive, I did like that Sharon mentioned Mel and Hunter. The show didn't expand on it but I like to think that it finally made sense to Sharon why Mel was so hell-bent on revenge and where her head-space was.

If Shirley told Stuart the location of the warehouse that Calum was taken to,why hasn't he gone there to look for him?

Because apparently we need to waste time watching Callum being all abandoned and Ben being all upset instead of placing any focus whatsoever on Sharon.

Finally, some proper Sharon aftermath.

I love how it’s become a running joke that no one ever bothers to tell Kathy when something is up with Ben.

Finally some aftermath to Dennis' death! And what a surprise, it ended up being the best episode of the week so far. Emotional scenes between Ian and Sharon on the sofa, both Letitia and Adam are killing it. I don't want their friendship to be disrupted by the revelation that Ian locked Dennis in a room but I'm sure they'll be fantastic scenes.

Not to be all Katie Hopkins but a big no to the thought of Sharon's baby being called Kayden. I guess it's a subtle blend of Keanu and Dennis though.

NuPeter is settling in well. Can't wait for the tensions to spill soon - I love that 6 years on we are still feeling the repercussions of Lucy's death, a genuine example of "Walford will never be the same again".

That scene where Jean returned to Daniel on the bench and tried to pretend for a few more minutes that he wasn't dead really got me. Gillian Wright playing a blinder.

Where's Phil?

Guessing Steve is still on panto break and the scenes from last week which actually filmed before he left.

In terms of the show, I guess we can assume Phil has gone off somewhere, feeling too guilty to show his face.

New Peter in a towel plz x

Sharon/Shirley was the scene of the week, I forget how much I love Shirley until moments like that. She gets so bogged down in Carter shit and wasted far too often!
