That Sharon and Shirley scene! :cry: I'm loving that they're showing the complexity of Shirley's interactions what with Linda a couple of weeks back and now Sharon. Also great that Linda Henry has something to work with again!

 

Wasn't really impressed by the scene where Ben broke down, I think Max Bowden has been turning in some poor performances lately but I think it was just a bad scene in general.

I’m so here for them getting more scenes together like this! I love it when they have catty moments too bc it’s camp gold but Shirley was really lovely to her tonight and Sharon really needed that :heart:

 

The later two episodes of the week were the strongest of the week for sure!

The Shirley and Sharon scene was absolutely highlight of the aftermath so far! Also really enjoyed Shirley's scene with Jean too.

I agree that I just feel the Ben stuff has been pretty naff. Max Boden is overacting a lot and the never ending shouts of ‘WHERES CALLUM!??’ were more annoying than dramatic this week.

I think the ben storyline should have came later in the year as he has had loads of screen time as of late.

I mean, it would be stupidly unrealistic for Martin and Sonia to allow Bex to go off travelling for a year given how she tried to kill herself 6 months ago and how slapdash she is with pill popping.

 

Love that Auntie Michelle thinks it’s worth funding too.

I adored Shirley in pink. Some amazing scenes from her lately where she’s really shown her softer side. Vulnerable Shirley is amazing.

 

That’s when she’s like Yvonne Atkins (bad Girls!).

 

Bexs last EP tonight too. I’m glad she got a happy ending she deserved some happiness the tough times she’s had
