I'm also very much a fan of Avery, Janine and Lexus.

They brought back the intro!

So camp this season, I also don’t mind there wasn’t an eviction right away.

I can see Anthony running this show however, that second episode was highly narrated with him as the focus.

This season is starting off very Anthony forward with the edit, they had so much else to focus on I’m sure.

I do like the Hot Chocolate alliance and they seem legit, I wouldn’t mind that as the Final 5 at all.

Denis won his second veto and used it on Vivek!!! Spicy Vee named DONNA as a replacement?!

Although I can appreciate Spicy Vee wanting to take numbers away from this alleged East Coast Alliance, I’m not exactly quite sure why she didn’t put up someone like Todd.

The messiness this season just continues. That executive veto was probably the best thing that happened so far this season because the sides now should be:

 

Dougie/Matt/Lexus/Tola vs

Victoria/Avrey/Bayleigh/Kayla/Todd

 

Sounds like Hot Chocolate is dead. I really don’t see anything outside of an Anthony win at this point. Up until this week I thought a Goose win was possible if Anthony wasn’t at the end, but I think Goose cooked his own game last week :lol:

 

A Victoria win is possible, but if she makes it to the end without Anthony being there - I would be surprised.

But this is the worst Post-COVID BBCAN. It’s kind of on par with the earlier seasons, definitely better than Anthony’s first season tho.

Anthony is GAGGED. Unless someone on his side wins this week, I’m hoping they take a shot at Tola or even Anthony.

Praying Bayleigh or Todd wins and just put up Anthony and Tola.

 

Eviction coming on Sunday!!

The Movie Night Massacre this week has been EXCELLENT television, a really great and inspired twist!!

I have to say I have pretty mixed feelings about the Movie Night Massacre.

 

Essentially all that last week was, was a Double Eviction on the Wednesday. The commitment was made that we would find out who the 2nd evictee was on Sunday and they didn't deliver on that at all :lol: I felt that they oversold who actually ended up going home. The person that went home (Goose) always had a high probability of going home, so I'm not sure why they made HIS eviction into a Double Episode. It wasn't needed.

I also felt that the delivery of the Movie Night Massacre was a bit bloated. But as a twist I did really like it.

 

The true events of last week (Avrey HOH, Kayla Backdoored) was WAY more interesting than the Movie Night Massacre/Goose's Eviction and I felt that they really rushed through this.

I'm surprised that Victoria was so willing to give up Kayla and not continue pushing for Lexus to be backdoored. I also feel like NOT using the veto was probably talked about quite a bit, but where was that narrative in the episode?!

 

Kinda just rooting for Bayleigh, Todd and Victoria at this point. I'm surprised Bayleigh is still in and made jury. Todd I've really warmed up to.

Anthony tho... he set himself up VERY well at the beginning of the game. They need to get him OUT.

I think getting rid of Kayla this soon could be really damaging for Spicy and Avery going forward :drama:

As we enter the endgame of this season of BBCAN, a few thoughts.

 

EVERYONE HATES ANTHONY!

He's playing the best game in there and set himself up very early for the end game. His gameplay is utterly predictable and exactly how be played the first time, however, he doesn't have a "Dane" in the way so he will probably win (as he should). He put himself first and that's why he is where he is.

 

Victoria: she soiled her game so badly that I'm surprised Anthony doesn't just stay loyal and take her to the end because he wins. Anthony converted all of Victoria's allies to be his allies. Victoria really stumbled with that Girls Alliance and she's not going to be seen as being loyal at all. She prioritized Anthony too much.

 

Bayleigh I do like and I'm surprised she's still here lol. If she can pull out a move of some sort and take Anthony out, she would be a decent winner. Todd and Lexus however I don't see a path forward for a win.

 

Overall I give this season a C+ (but open to this changing). It's the worst post-COVID BBCAN Season and doesn't hit the heights of Season 1-5.

The twists this season were MEH as well. The Movie Night Massacre when we all knew Goose was going was so bloated. Another Chain of Safety as well? Lazy.

Spicy v Anthony was EVERYTHING I NEEDED. That felt like an old school Big Brother fight!

I think Anthony may have messed up, Victoria is going to DRAG HIS NAME SO HARD IN JURY.

 

Crazy to think the next HOH will be Bayleigh, Lexus or Todd and none of them have won HOH yet.

The only acceptable move is Bayleigh winning HOH. Putting up Lexus and Anthony and PRAYING that Todd wins and takes the shot.

YESSSSSSSSSS WHAT A FINAL!!!!!!

 

That's probably the best final since Taylor won in BBUS. Potentially even better.

Nailbiting to the last second, my jaw DROPPED when Anthony took Bayleigh.

 

I'm OVER THE MOON with that result - I'm so happy she won!! Definitely saves the season a bit for sure.

Unfortunately Big Brother Canada has been shelved and will not air next year.

Officially cancelled now and they’ve demolished the outside of the house already. RIP Big Brother Canada. You will always be famous.

 

Unfortunately I don’t see another network in Canada picking this up. US Big Brother will still air on Global, so it wouldn’t make sense for BBCAN to air on another network.

Again??!! Tbf I haven’t watched the last two seasons yet but really sad news. I actually preferred it to the US version - the cast was generally better and always delivered the drama and shocks (Neda’s eviction, Ika shredding letters, Paras coming out of nowhere and winning etc). Couldn’t they have given us an All-Stars to wrap it up?!

Still shocked by this. Wish they would do a final series with Gary, DemIka, Daela, Sabrina etc.

Unfortunately, I think cutting the live feeds cost them. There was no buzz on Social Media at all. Viewership was down 20% that first season after cutting the feeds, so I couldn't imagine this last season performing very well at all. Very unlikely that this had any streaming potential, Global doesn't have a standalone streaming service, the only way to watch is Cable or bundling with other streaming services for $14+ a month.

 

Although ratings declined slowly, BBCAN was always the night's top show while airing up until Season 10. They had a lot of major sponsors behind them, I'm still struggling to know how this did go south.

 

Anyways - my dream All-Stars cast that will never be:

BBCAN2: Ika Wong, Jon Pardy, Neda Kalantar

BBCAN3: Brittnee Blair, Sarah Hanlon, Godfrey Mangwiza, Kevin Martin

BBCAN6: Alejandra Martinez, Paras Atashnak

BBCAN9: Breydon White, Tychon Carter-Newman, Kiefer Collison

BBCAN10: Betty Yirsaw, Haleena Gill, Kevin Jacobs

We would be so lucky. I don't think Neda would ever come back and if she did she would make sure Jon and Ika weren't there.

So many from BBCAN3. Such a solid season. I could have picked a few more from BBCAN6. Not surprised to see zero people from BBCAN4 or 7. I would actually pick Bayleigh if I had another spot as well.

This would be a great, diverse cast with a few great winners.

 

Maybe I'll do another BBCAN3 rewatch. I can't believe how badly they fumbled BBCAN4 with Nikki and Tim in there. No wonder it got canceled the first time.

That's the sad thing too. BBCAN was creative enough to do something like a BBUS v Canada season - and now we will never get it.
