Brilliant album! Very well crafted and you can really tell they care about the quality of songmanship. I like how it's not necessarily a continuation of Tears and feels like a step forward for them.

 

It starts to lose me a bit at 'Halfway' and 'To The One', but I think HMH works well as a nice closer. Kudos for an act like Steps managing to keep up such high quality without sounding like a parody of themselves!

This is a great album, plenty of bops and not really a bad song on it :D

I've got home and am playing it on spotify only on track 2 but WTFH and SITYE feel like total classics already! :wub:

I'm not the biggest Steps fan so maybe me listening to this and giving my opinion isn't the best thing to do lol BUT... shock I didn't like it. I only liked a few of the songs but a lot of it lacks depth. Clouds was probably the song I gravitated the most to because production-wise, it sounded less cheesy than the rest. Under My Skin was another I enjoyed too.

 

I think I enjoyed their last effort more than this one.

Funny you gravitate towards those two as I'm listening now and currently just about to start track 9, so far Clouds and Under my skin are the two I like the least. :lol: I think they work as an album but I wouldn't choose those two tracks to just listen to on their own.

OK so finished listening to it and abso-bloodu-lutely loved it!!! This feels more instant than Tears on the dancefloor for me and I thought that was their best album! Need to give this a few more spins but hats off to Steps for releasing another great album. I love that it sounds so distinctively Steps but yet it isn't out of place with today's music very well done to them and their team.

 

Gonna go for play 2 now :lol:

My favourite song on this album has to be Come and Dance With Me. It’s such a tune!

I wish steps had big promo, their sales are off to a strong start and should at the very worst open with 30k.

Apparently Steps are still at midweek #2 today however they have closed the gap slightly between them and Gary.

Reduced to £6.99 on ITunes :o

Hope they pull out all the stops this week as a number 1 album would be amazing for them.
