April 20, 20205 yr I absolutely LOVE this, I was hoping to see more love for this on here! It could very easily be annoyingly screechy with Becky's vocals but for some reason, it all really works and feels powerful instead and works towards making the song feel like a much bigger package.
April 20, 20205 yr If this can catch on like BOWY maybe just maybe Becky may finally have a bit of a breakthrough in her own right. Dance music needs her voice tbh.
April 25, 20205 yr #76 on its opening week, now let’s see it climb into the Top 40 gradually. Ya becky always does the gradual climb but I'd have preferred number75 debut than 76
April 25, 20205 yr Gorgon City and Sergio Popken produced the track alongside Tiësto. Kye Gibbon and Matt Robson-Scott have writing credits too. Yes the drop is quite Gorgon City come to think of it so their influence can definitely be heard on the track.
May 1, 20205 yr It has suffered a big fall in the charts this week, narrowly escaping falling out of the Top 100 altogether. Surely it will bounce back once a video is available, and some radio airplay, but it’s still not the best start This was the chart run for Ritual with Rita Ora; 64-85-67-47-49-41-40-28-26-27-26-24-25-24-28-36-69-79-92 And this was the chart run for God Is A Dancer with Mabel which peaked higher but had a shorter chart life; 37-33-32-15-16-18-20-26-26-30-46 Does Becky Hill have the same appeal as Rita and Mabel, I would say so, but the general public may not.
May 6, 20205 yr Official music video coming tomorrow. Hopefully it gives it a bit of a push back into the Top 100 again.
May 7, 20205 yr Official video is here, now let’s hope this can propel back up the charts! Su1orRz9CD8
May 28, 20205 yr Massively disappointing to see this flop, it just doesn't make sense after both artists have had hits in the past year!
May 28, 20205 yr Massively disappointing to see this flop, it just doesn't make sense after both artists have had hits in the past year! Yeah, it is a shame. Although I'm not surprised really. Becky still isn't a big name yet and Tiesto's last few hits definitely did well due to the other artists being really well known.
May 28, 20205 yr ^Think so. Tiesto is too old to get much support and the last 2 song he only got some cos of Rita and Mabel, respectively, but Becky Hill is not on there same category (sadly) moreover, I think there's a bit of Becky Hill saturation... too many singles in a row that sound the same
May 28, 20205 yr Well, it's not like Shify K3y is a huge name either and presumably that did fairly well due to her name alone. I'm surprised R1 didn't playlist it as they both seem like names guaranteed to get on that playlist. It leads me to believe maybe they didn't properly push this as an actual single? I like this a lot, so whatever has gone wrong I'm pretty gutted. :(
May 28, 20205 yr There's still time I guess? They were so late with I Could Get Used To This that I have some hope. R2 gave this some spot plays but it doesn't always guarantee a playlisting, especially when Ritual is the only single here that's been added to the station so far.
May 29, 20205 yr ^Think so. Tiesto is too old to get much support and the last 2 song he only got some cos of Rita and Mabel, respectively, but Becky Hill is not on there same category (sadly) moreover, I think there's a bit of Becky Hill saturation... too many singles in a row that sound the same As much as I love Becky Hill's music, I have to agree you here. They were best to wait until August/September. She's essentially bit non-stop since Wish You Well last Summer. I'd love to see her get a top 5 smash in the future but I cannot see it ever happening myself which is a shame.
