6. name an artist who achieved a #1 single in two separate decades or more

another spread out question here, at this point every point will make a difference to the leaderboard. Usher proved the most popular here getting 3 answers for getting #1s in 3 decades. the artist with the most decades of #1s, Cliff Richard, was pointless, as are Queen who had #1s in 4 decades, Elton John, Eminem, Madonna, Robbie Williams, Blondie and Bee Gees who had #1s in 3 decades.

I nearly went for Pink Floyd as having a number one in two decades as Another Brick In The Wall Part II was number one at the end of 1979 and the beginning of 1980 but, again, aI wasn't sure whether it would count. Thankfully, I got a Pointless answer anyway!

7. #1 hit of 1997 (my birth year!)

another spread out question here, with the most popular answer turning out to be U2's largely forgotten 'Discotheque' (I couldn't hum it to you). my birthdate #1 'Men In Black' scored 2 points, but I was pointless with the Teletubbies. Groups proved fairly popular here with 2 points to anyone answering The Verve, Blur, The Chemical Brothers and Various Artists (plus soloist White Town).

8. #1 hit achieved by a girl group.

another unexpected most popular answer here in the All Saints #1 'Bootie Call', scoring you 3 points, whilst 2 others of theirs were pointless. I should've made this question girl group who achieved a #1 really, as it's yet another one with very spread out answers. Popular groups here included B*Witched, Little Mix, Sugababes and Spice Girls, with a few looking to the distant past too.

9. finalist of the X Factor (UK) who achieved a top 10 hit, who did not win the show.

as is sometimes the case with pointless it is the least successful that rack up the points (which I kinda forgot about sending my own answers in oops), with the most popular here being Marcus Collins and Misha B who both had very short lived careers. G4 who I legit forgot about also had a few, whilst two of the biggest successes of this list Olly Murs and Ella Henderson ended up as pointless.

10. name a #1 hit credited to Calvin Harris

final question and now for one that will have a lot of you kicking yourself! 'Sweet Nothing' and 'Summer' made up nearly half of the total here, so many many points for anyone who went for either of those. other somewhat popular answers included 'Under Control', 'Feels' and 'I'm Not Alone', with his biggest hits in 'One Kiss' and 'We Found Love' being pointless and unanswered respectively. 'Spectrum' also got 2 answers, which I will accept as he is given an artist credit as a remixer on the song, even if the OCC don't recognise this as a #1 for him.

Well done Spiceboy on getting the lowest score. 11th place wasn't too bad for me. A bit of luck is always required on Pointless. Thanks Dan for hosting.
