This is alright. ^_^ Its a decent action movie but there are better. :D

 

I've got Underworld 2 on DVD but i've yet to watch it yet. ^_^

A great idea on paper, the whole "war" between Vampires and Werewolves thing was a great backdrop to set a horror/actioner, but it was rather hamstrung by obvious budgetary constraints and by the fact that it came off as just being a "Blade" knock-off... And any one of us who has ever played the White Wolf Vampire or Werewolf role-playing games kinda gave a knowing smirk, cos it's very obvious whoever wrote the original script was a player of these games... Pity they didn't get White Wolf on board, get the rights to use the Clans and Tribes featured in the game and use the game's back-story as a base to propel the script... Would've made for a pretty fukkin' terrific film.....

 

They had a bit more money to make "Evolution", and it actually came off as being slightly better than the first one.. But what a piece of mis-casting - Kate Beckinsale, I'm sorry, but I just do not buy her as being this Vampire assassin chick at all, too skinny and she just doesn't look comfortable in the rubber or the boots at all.... Angelina Jolie obviously wanted too much money.... And Scott Speedman - terrible actor, the very obvious attempts to try and make him another David Boreanaz/Angel-type just fell flat on its arse...

 

"Nochnoi Dozor" ("Night Watch") - similar idea (but adapted from a trilogy of novels), much, much better execution...
