N-Dubz need a special mention. Their whole career was an assault on the ears. I remember when they went OFF on X Factor because several of the artists associated with the show blocked them from getting a #1 one week and then less than two years later Tulisa joins as a judge.

Just had a look - the chart week was 15/11/09:

1. Black Eyed Peas - Meet Me Halfway

2. Leona Lewis - Happy

3. JLS - Everybody In Love

4. Cheryl - Fight For This Love

5. N Dubz - I Need You

XF really dominated. *.*

It was either Dappy or Tulisa, I think Dappy, that said they wouldn’t release their solo album until they had 3 #1s oops

God N Dubz were awful chavs, but Young is a screechy bop oops.

I still remember that week, when they put Leona in the big performance slot and the BEP in the supporting slot. They really thought the BEP wouldn't be a threat and then they went and took the no.1 and derailed Leona's career forever :cheeseblock: MMHW is ana absolute classic though whilst Happy is not. BEP had just had two HUGE no.1s, were in their imperial phase, ans Cowell thought that not only was it a good idea to release against them, but that it was a great idea to give them the same promo as Leona. Oops.

God that BEP/Leona chart battle was devastating. :mathswoman: At least MMHW turned out to be the bigger hit otherwise it would have been an insult.
Leona should have released one of the dance songs first anyway ans released Happy as the 2nd single ... and not gone up against the biggest band in the world as well.

These were a bit funny at the time but horrific really

They were just a novelty act for kids tbh!

And let's not forget: Forever by thr Spices, apart from the three singles, is quite possibly the worst album OF ALL TIME.

Daphne & Celeste's UGLY was a bit funny but they were shite. They didn't deserve to have bottles thrown at them at Reading though. :(

The way this was a UK #1.......

Bob's 2nd one was a re-written version of Mambo No.5 ^
