December 23, 200618 yr I love the music, pity they did not show more of it, but I suppose they just wanted to give a little taster of it. Gareth is looking good, and sounding brilliant. :cheer:
December 23, 200618 yr Key phrase was him having signed a new deal. I wish they'd gone into more about that. It was quite funny when they went wandering around the house and no-one was there. I liked the piano. :D
December 23, 200618 yr I hope he releases Changes as an early single. I liked the raw version but what I heard of the gig version seemed even better. Gareth - 10 points Documentary makers - 2 points.
December 23, 200618 yr ya i wonder who his new deal is with and when do they plan to release a single
December 23, 200618 yr Goodness, how bad was that??? Shocked actually!!! Poor Gareth - was it some sort of spoof?
December 23, 200618 yr Fatmuffin doesn't like Gareth, but still watched. ;) Gareth's official website has just announced his MySpace. It's http://www.myspace.com/garethgatesmyspace That lists Gareth's label as 19 Recordings Ltd/UMTV. I can't believe that the only mention of a new deal they made was at the end, and in passing, saying that he'd signed one. Gareth left a message to fans saying that he's also just done the photo-shoot for the album. :cheer:
December 23, 200618 yr I've never been a huge fan of Gareth. I've never really despised him but I have never really liked him either. I watched the show and found it quite boring to be honest. Just like the football bungs show earlier this year, I expected more. Quite disappointing actually and I quite liked what I heard of the new songs he's got but most of them were ballads and I really don't think that releasing a ballad as a comeback after three years is gonna do him any favours and get him a decent chart position. Also, I feel that after having watched it all, the show has hardly helped promote him in a good light.
December 23, 200618 yr he is really going to have to do loads and laods and loads of promo if he wants a hit he has a bttle on his hands
December 23, 200618 yr I must say I really enjoyed it - despite not being THAT much of a fan, I really enjoyed it. Changes sounded fabulous too. I may purchase this new album. ^_^
December 23, 200618 yr I think he will do a lot of promotion this time, more than ever before. GMTV have already said they have him booked! One fan who was at the secret gig said that he did a lot of uptempo songs, and was disappointed they didn't play any of them, but maybe they didn't fit in with the down-beat theme. That was the main thing that disappointed me. I know Gareth is fun, and people at the secret gig commented on how Gareth joked and had fun between songs, but they were more interested in his hat.
December 23, 200618 yr Fatmuffin doesn't like Gareth, but still watched. ;) I'm not a fan, but I was interested to see this - and to hear some of his new music. You have to give people a chance. :D I watched it whilst I was wrapping pressie ;) s. I was expecting something much more in depth and interesting, and was really hoping GG would spill the beans on Simon Cowell, but he tubed out <_<
December 23, 200618 yr I made a point of watching this but I have to say I disappointed in its content. Dont think it did Gareth any favours, was expecting much more i.e. the Mcguire programme etc. Felt it was badly put together with a poor interviewer who for the most part sounded stilted. Maybe it was severely edited. Gareth himself sounded happy and his girlfriend was lovely. He may not now have the chart positions but he has something much more important a close family life and a lovely girlfriend. Being a popstar and trapsing round the world is not everything and is not necessarily a life.
December 23, 200618 yr The Interviewer was absolutelly appauling. She was so depressing and seemed quite negetive.
December 23, 200618 yr Was this the same interviewer that interviewed David Beckham and Robbie Williams in their documentaries? I know it was the same producers. Her New Years resolution needs to include 'look for a new job because I am no good at this one' I had forgotten how Gareth can be a little shy. His choice of words when answering delicate questions re Jordan etc. were choice. He told it how it was without putting her down in anyway. I was expecting something much more in depth and interesting, and was really hoping GG would spill the beans on Simon Cowell, but he tubed out It isn't so much as 'tubing out' as not being his way. I am sure he would have loved to say 'Thank God the shackles are released' but saying that he can now release music he is more passionate about and has more input in, reveals a whole lot more.
December 23, 200618 yr im sure gareth feared upsetting jordan as if he did he knows she would attck by media
