Posted April 23, 20205 yr Jonsi is finally back with his 2nd proper solo album. After a small delay (Jonsi got the Corona-virus), first single Exhale has been released today. The 2nd album comes 10 years after his debut Go in 2010. U44-xky1vjw https://www.nme.com/news/music/sigur-ros-jo...t0d_edl6iyANUgM
April 28, 20205 yr This doesn't sound like I was expecting after seeing that it was co-produced by A. G. Cook - but not complaining as it is a pretty stunning track nonetheless <3 just would have been a little interesting to hear Jónsi over a PC Music type instrumental
June 24, 20205 yr This doesn't sound like I was expecting after seeing that it was co-produced by A. G. Cook - but not complaining as it is a pretty stunning track nonetheless <3 just would have been a little interesting to hear Jónsi over a PC Music type instrumental  l8JcHv4GKqg You have it more on the second track, Swill. Also the album is apparently featuring Robyn and Elizabeth Fraser, which I'm definitely looking forward to!
June 25, 20205 yr Author wow cannot wait to hear Jonsi and Robyn together in a track... this is the tracklist: Shiver: 01 Exhale 02 Shiver 03 Cannibal [Ft. Liz Fraser] 04 Wildeye 05 Sumarið Sem Aldrei Kom 06 Kórall 07 Salt Licorice [Ft. Robyn] 08 Hold 09 Swill 10 Grenade 11 Beautiful Boy
June 27, 20205 yr I love Exhale from Jonsi, though it is a bit of a see-saw for me in terms of my like level. Swill sounds pretty good on first listen, so I'm interested to see if I find it even better than Exhale! :)

Yeah that's more like I was expecting Jónsi/A. G. Cook to sound together for sure - another good song although not blowing me away as much as 'Exhale' did. Still, excited for the album and those are some interesting feature choices ~ It's probably not worthy of its own thread so I'll mention here that he was also featured on a new song by Julianna Barwick which came out the other week (that Elëdan crossover!) aKhIY4Qjaas Lovely stuff. x I also don't think either of these were posted on BuzzJack at all when they came out (they were seemingly very lowkey) but he has dropped 2 other side projects over the last year, a follow-up to the 'Riceboy Sleeps' album with Alex Somers and a short experimental EP 'Dark Morph II' with Carl Michael Von Hausswolff (I didn't even know the original Dark Morph project existed!), I don't think they're really essentials in the Jónsi catalogue but a couple of nice songs from them: uigCPHXxhWw w_Kb8heGfco
August 20, 20204 yr new song "cannibal" w/ Elizabeth Fraser of Cocteau twins! might be my fav of the three so far vcveV3Ig_AU
September 30, 20204 yr It's just AMAZING. I know I absolutely loon over Robyn but god she seems to wow me more and more as the years go by
October 4, 20204 yr 'Salt Licorice' is pretty dope. Didn't think A. G. Cook could work well with Jonsi. It's probably a match made in heaven. (And the thread title needs updating. Seriously.) Edited October 4, 20204 yr by All★bySmashMouth
October 4, 20204 yr 2.20 – 3.20 in Wildeye might just be my favourite minute of music this year 😍 So beautiful 😭 I could listen to it on repeat forever I wasn’t sure how him and A.G. would work together either, but it works so well
October 5, 20204 yr 2.20 – 3.20 in Wildeye might just be my favourite minute of music this year 😍 So beautiful 😭 I could listen to it on repeat forever You forgot the last 30 seconds tbh. I mean come ON, that was just incredible. How absolutely stunning are this and Salt Liquorice?! 😭 The album flows SO well. As much as I would LOVE it, he doesn't overwhelm us with Wildeye and Salt Liquorice-esque tracks throughout the entire thing.
