The song that introduced the world to one Katy Perry and, in my opinion, still her best song. I loved Katy Perry back in the day although her newest releases haven't done much for me. She's certainly one of the artists I would have loved to have seen live but at least I did see her at One Love Manchester where she was brilliant to be fair. Katy started off as as an obscure Christian music artist and it was this controversial, drastic change of tone that introduced her to a world of success. I guess most people would now regard this as a lower-tier Katy Perry single and that she's bettered it many times over but this is the one that I always find myself going back to the most.

 

Another song that was very close to a full house but 2 people missed it. Unfortunately for Bre, it did turn out to be an easy one.

I quite liked 'I Kissed A Girl' at the time but it aged really badly for me! Thankfully the 'Teenage Dream' stuff still sounds great :heart:

I hope Pete isn't kicking himself too much. I knew this would be an easier one and the instrumental is so distinctive. The vocals on this song verge on the border of creepy and cool and I can never work out which side I would describe them as. Having seem the video, I'm starting to lean on the side of creepy. It doesn't stop the song from being a massive tune though. One I can't help but always sing along to.

 

A majority of the answers actually got the song title slightly wrong but I'll be lenient as it was obvious what they we're referring to. Also, I'm not sure who Hit Crew Masters are :P

Pleased with how this is going so far, That's My Goal is definitely one of the better X Factor singles! Here we have the least-guessed song in the whole quiz. I'm not shocked that its the most obscure, but I thought more than 2 people would know it. This is a song by the best (and possibly only) Welsh rap collective Goldie Lookin Chain. They were like the Lonely Island of their day. This is one of the funniest and quotable songs ever. "Rap is more deadly than f****n' Kung-Fu" and "guns don't kill people, rappers do. I seen it in a documentary on BB2" have always been particular favourites.

 

A couple of people said this one was annoying them but based on how many people got it, I'm not sure this is what they were expecting. Beastie Boys were a particular close guess though.

Next, we have a song that is in many ways very similar to the previous song, just much better remembered. This has always been a favourite of mine. Another song with endlessly quotable lyrics “and then we’ll do it doggy style, so we can both watch X Files” “like the lost catacombs of Egypt, only God knows where we stuck it”.
