June 6, 20205 yr Author I’m at the finale already :kink: not mentally prepared for a 90 min episode but I have to say Season 4 has been up there as one of the best since it all began, a very strong farewell I’m so happy that Alex and Charlie are a thing and that whole prom episode was amazing for them. Where are all the boys like Charlie at please??
June 7, 20205 yr Finished the show this afternoon and the last episode kinda annoyed me for the rest i really enjoyed this season, much better than 2 and 3. Also where can i find a guy like Charlie please  Edited June 7, 20205 yr by Maz!
June 7, 20205 yr Author It’s always difficult to end shows I think but I thought it was done well. I cried, a lot  It was also nice to see Courtney and Ryan again fleetingly
June 7, 20205 yr I've just finished the finale and I don't think I'm over it... I seem to be in the minority here, but overall I didn't enjoy this season. The first 8 episodes were quite depressing and Clay's behaviour became increasingly uncomfortable to watch, which I'm sure was the point they wanted to make. I just found it annoying how they are all supposedly friends but no one seems to notice how Clay was slowly losing control, to the point where, even after he's escaped from hospital, Tony is persuading him to come out and help Tyler when they think he's buying guns. Surely a real friend would realise that Clay probably needs some time to heal before guilt tripping him into getting involved with something like that? Then episode 9 comes along and it's lovely: two prom kings (beautiful), Winston and Monty have their dance (stunning) and Clay seems to be getting better...and then they do that to Justin. The one character whose arc has been so redemptive and interesting. I just can't believe they killed him off. I genuinely can't remember ever crying so much at a TV programme. The death itself got me. Then I cried again at the funeral. Then again when Clay read out Justin's college essay. I've actually given myself a headache. Other points: I loved Alex and Charlie's coming out scenes - seeing everyone so accepting was brilliant (though I doubt that your average American family/ high school would be as accepting in real life sadly); Zach annoyed me this series because he was by far my favourite in the last two seasons and here he just seemed like such an idiot. Glad he sorted himself out by the end. And - I genuinely can't believe I'm saying this, given how much I hated her last season - one of my favourite characters this season was Ani. :o Overall, I seasons 3 and 4 couldn't live up to the first two seasons for me, though I am glad the series came to a clear end and that the characters managed to get some sort of closure.
June 7, 20205 yr I cried like a baby on the last episode. Definitely not a perfect ending but i have an emotional attachment to the show 😂😂
June 12, 20205 yr So I've finally got around to starting season 4 and the first episode feels like a drag... Maybe my investment in it isn't as strong since I know this is the final season but the storytelling seems strained. Amen for Brandon Flynn.
