I do think that's the right winner in the end, as much as I didn't feel she was so much more of a winner than the others, her personality absolutely brought it and she has charisma in absolute spades so well done! She was ultimately the big fan favourite of the season Jimbo aside too i felt. It was a shame for Rita that her final runway look was a bit odd because she looked sooooo gorgeous in the "U Wear It Well" performance. She is very versatile though so it was nice to see her doing something very unexpected!

 

That final lipsync choice might be the best choice on Drag Race of all-time? GASPED when they announced it.

Am I happy Priyanka won? Yes. Did I think she deserved it? Not really! She still had a lot of messy looks and had it been a regular season of RPDR with actual proper judging, I don't think she'd have won. She did have the best finale look though.

 

Scarlett BoBo SLAYED the final lipsync and I really think she should have won.

I'M SO HAPPY. This just proves it's not all about track record or the amount of experience or polish. They KNOW Priyanka can captivate people with her personality and charisma ALONE.

But by the edit, not by Priyanka.

While Priyanka was one of my favourites overall and the final episode heavily suggested she had the strongest narrative to take the win, I did come away feeling that Scarlett Bobo deserved the win on this episode and that to an extent the edit we got of the show did her no favours.

 

She had the strongest track record, she has one of THE strongest track records in Drag Race history, up there with Dela and Bianca, and she got High in every challenge that asked for humour and reads, and yet the edit didn't really show us any of that - most evident when they were scrapping for bits that made it into this edit of the show to find Bobo's best bits. Then in terms of her narrative within the show, they shot her in the foot but pairing her with Ilona and making that the sum total of her storyline for the first six episodes, rather than her craft or advocacy that she was finally able to bring up in the last few episodes.

 

I feel similarly about Rita's (to us) random 'alien' storyline this episode, that felt very much like it was the culmination of a season-long story arc that was left on the cutting room floor.

 

Besides all that though, it was a great episode & I'm happy with the winner, think it will be a good boost to Priyanka's career that the other two didn't need as much.

 

Tbh what I'm most shook about following this final is the revelation that Rita Baga is only 32! Younger than Jackie Cox from the last US season :o

Bobo is not even quarter of Dela or Bianca and you might think it was editing fault but she just doesn't have it in her to be compared to the other two drag icons!!!

She was the only one doing flips and death drops but I don't think she was robbed. I am not denying her Top 3 final spot (it could have easily been Jimbo or Lemon as well) but if one thing I've learned from this edition and mainly from Priyanka and Rita's lipsync is that you don't have always to go wild in a stage to deliver an amazing lipsync performance. It's all about the energy and how you embrace the song and both Priyanka and Rita showed us that you can do just that and win the lipsync!!!

She definitely did give her all especially since she never had to lipsync before (kinda she had to prove something to judges and audience).

 

And maybe I am being a bit bias since I was rooting for Priyanka but my eyes were really just over Priyanka (so was the editing and camera lol :kink: now watching for a second time I agree).

Scarlet's same leg kick and hair flips she did a few times throughout the show should've TOTALLY won her the entire season.

SCARLETT BOBO DID THAT!!! I'm happy Priynaka won and all but THAT lipsync!! The moment the song was revealed I was already gassed but Scarlett delivered EXACTLY what I wanted from that, absolutely perfect.

Buzzing for Priyanka. She was by far my favourite of the three. I just don't get too much like ability from Rita or Scarlett. Although Scarlett did well in this episode.. Priyankas look and verse was miles above the other 2 though imo. Scarlett did the best in terms of lip sync and dancing.

Priyanka was my favourite at the beginning of the season (along with Lemon) however her drag didn't quite cut it compared to some of the others so I wasn't championing her for the win. She pulled it out of the bag in the last ep though and there's no denying she's charismatic, hugely likeable and humble too.

Priyanka appearing on Katya's Insta today was so random and fun. I should click on those Insta-live linkies more often!
