Is it that good though? Auba is incredible of course but I don't get the Pepe hype? From what I can see he's got flair & a trick in his book but little end product so far. I know he scored well in France but that's a farmers league... Laca is pretty hit and miss too.

And our defence has taken a lot of stick but we have the joint-best defensive record in the division after 5 games so it can't be THAT bad. Obviously that won't last but it's hardly a crisis area. For the record I still think Chelsea will take the fourth spot but it'll probably got to the wire like last season.

Hard to know at he moment who will take 4th spot or 3rd for that matter. Uniteds defence has improved by the two signings and they always have two defensive midfielders which helps but that may stop them in an attacking sense. Not sure about Chelsea they seem hit and miss and it wouldn't surprise me if they done us over next Sunday. Leicester again don't have enough - if they still had Maguire maybe!

I'm just enjoying how all the teams have abandoned their defence this season lol.

Hard to say about Chelsea, I think Lampard has worked out his favoured attack but clear there are big issues with defence. I think they would be silly to play Azpillicueta at wing-back next week against Liverpool or a back 5 for that matter. Who knows, going to Stamford Bridge is always a tough game, 3 points there next week would be massive.

Could the record for biggest win in the Premier League go today?

Well it didn't. With 5 goals in first eighteen minutes it did look that way. Not sure if anyone has scored five in that amount of time in a Premier League match. It was the fastest anyone has scored five in that time.

Yep you're right about that^ I think Liverpool previously had the record for quickest to 4-0 (vs. Arsenal in 2014) but City managed to beat & then extend that record! One would think they had a point to prove or something after last weekend's hiccup.
VAR certainly playing a part in the Leicester v Tottenham match.

They definitely need to review whether it is more important to get every offside decision correct even if it takes a few minutes to do so, or if it is acceptable to allow a goal that was a fraction of an inch offside.

What club are Everton trying to be then? One fighting for a top six club or underwhelming from 9th to 12th.

They're certainly aspiring to push for the top 6 but they don't currently have the personnel nor managerial nous!

You can't even prove that these calls they're deciding are offside are actually offside as the technology can't freeze the exact moment a ball leaves someones foot. I'm absolutely fine with VAR being used to overturn things like the Perez goal, however to overturn the Aurier one is surely not why and how it should be used. I don't know enough about the decision making on how the review system is used in cricket, but I don't see why football can't use an approach similar to the one of 'umpire's call' where it shows a ball will just clip the stumps but he's given not out, so is a wrong decision but won't be overturned because it's so marginal.

The not overturning decisions referees have made is getting really annoying now too. Of two penalty shouts in Southampton v Bournemouth, the foul by Cedric is so much more of a penalty than the one by Cook.

Everton look really poor and they never seem to sort out the issues in the squad despite always spending a lot. Signing Iwobi for £10m more than you sold Lookman for is one of the most baffling transfer decisions in a while. I can't see Silva lasting at all.
