Leicester for top...4 next season?

 

I think Chelsea, Man Utd and Arsenal are all complete messes and/or have unproven and almost certainly not good enough managers they're bound to climb above at least one, but I don't see not all three.

Still too big a quality gap between the top 6 and the rest for me. Mind you if we carry on this season the way we finished last one it won't just be them overtaking us.

Leicester wont be in the top 4 next season, they've got a very good chance of 7th/8th though. I think Wolves will have quite a big drop off next season, especially if they make it into the group stage of the Europa League.

 

 

It will almost certainly be Manchester City and Liverpool as the top 2 again, Tottenham will most likely be in the top 4 again and then after that it will be one of the usual top 6 suspects. I will be very shocked if Brighton don't get relegated this time around.

Leicester could sneak Top 6 I reckon, I agree Chelsea/Arsenal/Man Utd are in mid-messes at the moment. I don't see them having the consistency needed though to get in the Champions League places (Leicester that is).

Leicester's side is full of brilliant young players who will continue to get better, and they have a full season under Rodgers, who's perfect for a team of their makeup. Perez would be a really good signing for them and Tielemans permanently could be the signing of the summer. They got 20 from 11 under him last season so I think 12-15 points more than last season is easily doable. That puts them on around United's total, and don't think it's unreasonable to suggest Arsenal and Chelsea could get 4-5 points less.

Agreed, but he it's purely for sentimental reasons. He may do well, he may fail. There are some good young players there, but will they all make it? Are they good enough to be at the very top level? I think a couple are for sure. I personally think they are really going to miss Hazard. I suspect next year they are just going to be wildly inconsistent.

It's a no risk move for him in one sense. With Hazard leaving & a transfer embargo, this is probably the least expectant season in the Abramovic era. Certainly most of the Chelsea fans I know would be elated with top 4. You think they could have an even worse season than last that Sarri was burned at the steak for & yet still be over the moon, very funny game sometimes.

 

Personally think he'll do a solid if unspectacular job next season. Definitely still put them above us & Arsenal as favourites for top 4.

Doesn't matter about that really, I don't think Lampard will get sacked even if they do terrible. Their problem next season is going to be goals unless someone steps up to the plate massively. Agree with you though that they have massive potential to a complete car crash, but it also could go the other way as well.

Chelsea finished 4th because of Hazard last season. He was as good as ever and dragged them through so many games, for me as good as any attacker from the top 2 - easily his best ever seasion. Giroud and Abraham as strikers, Pulisic, Willian, Pedro and Hudson-Odoi in behind them, a couple of those really need to step up in his absence. They've got a lot of great young talent but asking them all to do it at the same time, seems risky when the players around them aren't that high quality.
