Posted November 23, 200618 yr Hi There, Was wondering why the "Acquiesce"/The Masterplan CD wasn't listed in this weeks chart. :o I'm guessing it's because there are 4 tracks on the CD rendering it void from the chart listings. If this is so, does anyone know where it would have slotted into the Top 10 this week?

Does not show, but new rules next year, all EPs will be legible for the chart http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=21793
November 23, 200618 yr Author Thanks Mikey, Also the 2 week deletion rule ends as well...about time too!!
November 23, 200618 yr The Oasis EP actually sold enough to enter the MRIB Sales Chart at Number 1, on Sunday. (19th). This suggests that it would have entered The OCC Chart at 1, 2, or 3, had it been allowed to Chart. It is the only time - ever - that an MRIB Number 1 Single is not even allowed into the OCC Chart. (MRIB uses different UK Shops than The OCC, & has a smaller Survey, but it is pretty obvious that The OCC Rules have cheated Oasis out of a Top 3 Hit - maybe even a Number 1)

I was sure it would have sold enough to reach the Top 4 at least. We were definately robbed of that one!! :(

Gnarls Barkley was #1 on downloads for weeks prior to it's release. Also possible on downloads only but a less likely are Scissor Sisters-IDFLD and Justin Timberlake with Sexy Back. While 'Steve Silk Hurley-Jack Your Body' was #1 but Jackie Wilson should of been as Steve's track was to long. Other quirks include John Lennon "Happy Christmas (War Is Over)" being #1 on a week charts where not produced.
November 23, 200618 yr Hello, But, I meant that the Oasis Single is the first one to be available in UK Shops, to be Number 1 in one Sales Chart - but not even allowed into The OCC one. It really never has happened before. I bet the Oasis Single was at 1, 2, or 3 in The OCC Chart on Sunday 19th - but they refused to let it in - at any position. I am refering to Sales from UK Shops.....
