Her initial stint saw her involved in many storylines, most significantly in a plot twist which sees her sister Zoe revealed to be her daughter after she was raped by her uncle Harry as a child. Another key aspect to the character's storylines is her marriage to Alfie Moon, prior to which she became briefly engaged to Alfie's love rival Andy Hunter. After Kat jilted Andy on their wedding day, he blackmailed her into sleeping with him in his revenge bid against Alfie. Wallace has won multiple awards for her portrayal as Kat, who has become one of the show’s best loved characters. Kat departed on 25 December 2005. The character is introduced as a feisty and troublesome teenager and an extension to the already established Slater family. EastEnders scriptwriter Tony Jordan revealed that he created the character with Turner in mind: "I first met Lacey when she came to a casting workshop for the Miller family ... She was leaning against a wall and looked just like Kat Slater. I thought she would be perfect for the Slater family so I wrote in Stacey’s character especially for Lacey. July 28, 20204 yr Oh I disagree with that. I like Stacey but her current incarnation as grumpy mum of 12 is not the one. Kat is so much more interesting, even when she's not doing much.

July 28, 20204 yr Stacey i do like but she was much better during her Bradley, Max affair years, in the last few years she has got very moaney and not as interesting as she used to be. Kat is more rounded that way as she does both the heavy storylines but she does provide more of a laugh from time to time. Great thread and thank you for hosting as i really enjoyed it.
