To coincide with the release of her fourth studio album, it felt like the right time to make a dance vocalist thread for this artist! Jessie Ware is very much loved in the BuzzJack community and has had a great music career to date yet sadly her chart success has been very poor, having never had a Top 20 hit to her name. She has worked with quite a few dance producers and continues to try out different genres to explore her vocal range. These are her dance collaborations to date;

Nervous (with SBTRKT)

Midnight Loving (with RackNRuin)

Soundclash (with RackNRuin)

The Vision (Let Me Breathe) (with Joker)

Right Thing To Do (with SBTRKT)

Sanctuary (with SBTRKT & Sampha)

If You Love Me (with Benzel)

Confess To Me (with Disclosure)

Peppermint (with Julio Bashmore)

Aaliyah (with Katy B)

Problem (Solved) (with SBTRKT)

Running / Finally (with Pete Tong & The Heritage Orchestra)

Time After Time (with Franky Wah)

Which of her current dance features is your favourite?

Which dance producers would you like to see her feature with in the future?

I’ve gone with her recent collaboration with Franky Wah which is a match made in heaven, the production is great and the soaring vocals are breathtaking. It’s her finest dance single in my opinion. She’s done a fair few songs with SBTRKT but they aren’t her best. Here’s my ratings for Jessie Ware;

1. Time After Time (with Franky Wah)
2. Confess To Me (with Disclosure)
3. Running / Finally (with Pete Tong & The Heritage Orchestra)
4. The Vision (Let Me Breathe) (with Joker)
5. Soundclash (with RackNRuin)
6. Peppermint (with Julio Bashmore)
7. Nervous (with SBTRKT)
8. Aaliyah (with Katy B)
9. Midnight Loving (with RackNRuin)
10. Right Thing To Do (with SBTRKT)
11. Problem (Solved) (with SBTRKT)
12. If You Love Me (with Benzel)
13. Sanctuary (with SBTRKT & Sampha)

Because Jessie doesn’t get picked up by mainstream producers, I would not hold out much hope of an A-List artist for her to work with. Though I am sure she will continue to make great music and contribute much more to dance music in the coming years. Maybe she will record a song with the likes of Gorgon City or Don Diablo someday.

Aaliyah of course, still sounds so incredible :wub:

Peppermint, Confess to Me and Time After Time are all glorious too and the Disclosure remix of Running!

I haven't even heard of most of these! I need to do me some research.

'Aaliyah' was actually the song that introduced me to Jessie when I saw her perform it with Katy B at V Festival.

Unfortunately I don't know a single one of these and don't have the spirit to listen to them all so it's a null vote from me this time! :(
