i personally really like it!! people who are slandering it don't understand the point of it: it's a club mix part of a continuous "mixtape".

 

I think it's fine as a reimagining for a remix album, but I'm less keen on the idea of them pushing it as a single when the original is superior and a hit waiting to happen.

This is pretty bad. Not because it's clubby but because the production is boring. Madonna and Missy sounded good though, wish they received a better remix.

I just feel like what is happening right now with majority is that for a moment we're forgetting that this is indeed a remix project and majority are underwhelmed comparing it to the original...I mean even title says it all Club Fitire Nostalgia!!!

This is EXACTLY how I feel. I'd enjoy it if it was a remix tacked onto the original, but not as a single of its own right leaving the superior original just sitting unreleased.

Jesus, this is awful compared to the original. How did they ruin the best track on future nostalgia.

I think it works perfectly as a CLUB remix, but not a single remix. It feels like a waste having Missy and Madonna for a fun club remix when having them on the single remix would have been a bigger moment. It would have been one of the few times where I feel Madonna wouldn't have struggled for airplay/playlisting.

Exactly! People are all like "you have to remember what a remix is, it's for a club project" and that's fine, but when the magic of the original is its production that meshes all the different genres that it does to make such a carefree and uplifting song, stripping it of that for a remix that goes nowhere with a generic passable club vibe is just not it. If it had been Hallucinate with this production, fine, but I just think this was arguably the worst choice to remix in this way.

I heard the first few bars and thought 'we're in for a f***ing treat' and then...the other 3 minutes happened. Honestly, what are they thinking pushing this as a single? The production is fine for maybe 30 seconds but completely one-note, it doesn't progress at all. Where's the melody :( I didn't think Madge sounded great either oops, Missy gave a good verse but the production ruined that as well. The sheer monotoneness.

 

It feels to me like the beginning or end of an extended club remix if you get me? :lol: Then you know when they're 7 minutes long and there's 2 minutes at the start that don't need to be there, that's like the entirety of this song.

 

Agreed on Madonna sounding good and the Missy rap is good, it's just the production of this sucks everything that was great out of a really fun and punchy song.

This is exactly it :lol: It's like a random remix chucked out as part of a Singles EP. I can't believe Hallucinate was doing so promisingly with no Hot Hits and it'll be sidelined for this, hopefully it'll still get pushed. I hope this remix album doesn't put a dampener on the whole era :(

This era has been fantastic for Dua but I’m sorry this has let it down, It’s awful!!! The original is so much better!!!!

This is such a mess The beginning sounds so promising and then nothing happens? Like this could have been really good and it's not terrible but it just sounds like any other remix really. The original is soooooo good as well which doesn't help its case.
