Shame on all of you who have voted for everytime we touch :puke2:

I wouldn't even class that as a dance record of the year! It's a stupid horrible chav record for scallies in citroen saxo's! People who like dance tunes definitely won't vote for that awful tune. I hate their new tune as well. That bint singer covering savage garden.

I voted for Til West - same man. It's one of the best dance tunes that has been released this year. Dance tunes should be more like that than crappy cascada

Edited by La La Land

None of them are my favourites of the year, but Cascada then, as its one of the songs that defined the year along with David Guetta - none of the other 3 deserve that status. Funny that its a chav record and none of the people who voted for it here are actually chavs...

They are probably into pop music then! But it's still a chav record. Just listen to it! "Coz everytime we touch I get this feeling" what foney lyrics! That bint woman who sings it just makes it even worse!

Obviously for people who dont like dance music, they'll vote for the ones they know the best, which in this case would be Cascada, which was a #2 hit. About the lyrics, most dance music has bubbly lyrics or just random c**p lyrics, the one you voted for included ;) I know all the records nominated pretty well, but apart from David Guetta, they're all c**p, and i'd prefer Cascada over them really.

^^Yeah, wasnt it the Shapeshifters remix of Source? I prefer the 97 mix. Anyway, 2006 was a naff year for dance, even though its been performing better in the charts.

you can dance to cascada so its a dance song, it should be there, there is some snobbishness towards the song the same way radio1 snubbed it and didn't playlist it but it is still worthy!!

Cascada DESERVES snobbery toward it - it's a chipmunks-on-helium pop song for naff chav dance fans who wear Reebok, buy Misery of Sound compilations and who think Judge Jules 'rocks'. We call them the 'Poundstretchers Posse' - because they're the very lowest, cheapest, most laughable type of 'dance' fan.

It's little wonder dance has died a creative death when record labels seem to have given up the fight and now release any old tripe with a speeded-up vocal or a beyond-naff cover of some cheesy old 80s hit.

Dance is thankfully going back underground and all the chavs who think Cascada should even be ON a list of Dance songs, nevermind 'Dance Song of the Year', will have all moved on back to their pop and r'n'b c**p.

This song is AMAZING, it was very close but I did end up with Walking Away...

its a kind of dance song, the dance genre is broad, the singer in cascada voice is not speeded up, but above all that its still good to dance too, i'm not saying its the best of the year its just a contender, it is possible to like fedde, david guetta and cascada and see why they are all worthy

the singer in cascada voice is not speeded up

I suggest you have a closer listen

You're probably right, people are more likely to vote for Cascada because it got a high position in the charts God knows why! This tune falls into the same genre as Scooter, Infernal, Flip and Fill and all those cheesey euro pop acts. THEY ARE NOT DANCE! That bint who sings does sound like a chipmunk.

Til west is the best choice out of all of them. The other choices are dire. David Guetta is alright but it's just another one of those lazy bootlegs, but it worked out ok.

All of the tracks in this poll are really solid, apart from the Route 33 one imo

Voted Davey G though :cheer:

But The Source and Till West are both a very close second

Til West is absolutely brilliant, a single that should've done much, much better than it did, and almost re-affirms my much-bruised belief that there is still SOME decent stuff out there in the Dance genre. Great remixes, too.

To be honest mate, if it was re-released it could do well

In fact it puts me in mind of Body Rox ^_^
