July 31, 20205 yr "Blinding Lights" by The Weeknd sees its Top 20 run end (for now at least) after clocking up 33 weeks, a total surpassed by less than 10 records in chart history 56 - "Fairytale of New York" - Pogues featuring Kirsty MacColl 45 - "All I Want For Christmas Is You" - Mariah Carey 42 - "Someone You Loved" - Lewis Capaldi 37 - "Stranger on the Shore" - Acker Bilk etc. 36 - "I Believe" - Frankie Lane 36 - "Rock Around The Clock" - Bill Haley & His Comets 36 - "Thinking Out Loud" - Ed Sheeran 33 - "Blinding Lights" - The Weeknd 32 - "Happy" - Pharrell Williams 32 - "Dance Monkey" - Tones & I 30 - "Relax" - Frankie Goes To Hollywood 30 - "All Of Me" - John Legend Weeks are not necessarily consecutive. Acker Bilk's 37 are all consecutive so that is the record on that criterion. * - "Last Christmas" by Wham! has 23 weeks on its own and 8 as a double A side with "Everything She Wants" for a total of 31 weeks.
August 1, 20205 yr 3 1d albums inside top 40  But 'Up All Night' still didn't make it into the Top 100, so odd
August 1, 20205 yr I have to say I much prefer the Ireland top 10 this week :) Taylor's highest song is actually Exile at #3 with Cardigan #4 and The 1 at #6 plus Only You Freestyle, Rockstar and Lighter are top 20 but not top 10 :)
August 3, 20205 yr But 'Up All Night' still didn't make it into the Top 100, so odd  it was pretty high on midweek, i think streams killed it again
August 4, 20205 yr it was pretty high on midweek, i think streams killed it again  It was never in the midweeks. The highest one was their second album. Maybe Syco Music only want the albums that went to number 1 promoted. Up All Night only got to No.2  Edited August 4, 20205 yr by soundseekerz
August 6, 20205 yr Up All Night was almost top 100 on the mids, ended up dropping as the week went on but still finished top 200. I don't think it's to do with promotion, it's just the least popular on the whole among the fanbase. Additionally, considering Gotta Be You has been swept under the rug by everybody, it only really has 2 singles going for it, and they get rounded down...! Take Me Home, Midnight Memories and Made In the A.M. have 3+ singles each, and 18 from FOUR does pretty impressively well for an album track to boost those streams higher.
