The Hollywood A-lister is rumoured to be releasing a single with his new wife Katie Holmes - a cover of the Righteous Brothers' soppy hit You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'.

Crooner Cruise, 44, serenaded his bride, 27, with the track at their Italian wedding last weekend and received a standing ovation from his guests.

And now record industry bigwigs, some of whom attended the wedding, have offered Cruise a mega-bucks deal to record the track as a romantic duet with Katie, said The Daily Star.

They add that Cruise is prepared to record the track on condition that profits from the single's sales go to The Church Of Scientology.

An insider said: "Tom's got a great voice. And he's loved that song ever since his Top Gun character Maverick sang it to woo his love interest Kelly McGillis. And Katie proved how talented she is musically when she performed in The Singing Detective remake.

"Despite the curious sentiments of the song it means an awful lot to them both."

Well Cruise's ex-wife, Nicole Kidman had a hit when she duetted on Somethin' Stupid with Robbie Williams, so perhaps Cruise wants to prove he's multitalented too?
