They are def contenders! And rightly so with the investment and talent in the team.

City seem to be trying to change their style of play so they are more stingy in defence and win more!

The Wilson penalty attracted a lot of criticism but again, that's nothing to do with VAR.

In the pre-VAR world that would have been given without a second thought and everyone would be crying for VAR. Now we've got it and the referees are completely blind.

The Leeds game was an absolute thriller! We trebled our goals at home tally in one single match

For all the plaudits Leeds & Bielsa are getting (justified to a certain extent) they're gonna get many more hammerings if they defend like that. Is the manager all that? Everyone knows the way to play us is park the bus but this guy only plays one style of football. He's popular because it's great to watch but it's no different to all the criticism Mourinho gets for being the opposite. They'll easily stay up as they've got a 5-2 in them like the game prior but going forward that won't be sustainable in the nitty-gritty stages of the season.

Leeds are great but man for man marking and system means you need to win your individual battles 90% of the time. At the end of the day, most of this Leeds team are Championship players. Clearly his methods work really well as he has had good success but he probably lacks the pragmatism that modern management requires. Hate to say it as always, but Klopp changed from his counter pressing 24/7 to a more targeted and controlled press to conserve energy for the season around 2018. Noticeably this is when we became a much more complete side, everyone remembers the amazing and terrible performances, but you don’t remember the bang average ones - and there were plenty of them last season for example.

Priceless quote from Mikel Arteta :D

Last year we won against Everton with a 25% chance of winning, you win 3-2. Last weekend, it was a 67% chance of winning, any game in Premier League history, and a 9% chance of losing, and you lose. 3% against Burnley and you lose, 7% against Spurs and you lose.
On the subject of Marcelo Bielsa I find it weird how he always crouches down while he's on the touchline and looks as if he's not looking at what is happening on the pitch. He normally has a hot drink in his hand as well which is very unusual.
I think he has a back problem hence the famous stool they set out for him!

Leeds play in one way and he's not going to make changes based on the opposition. They will finish 10th-15th regardless which should be classed as a success, might as well have some fun getting there than play like Newcastle.

I also don't think the style will wear them out, given the majority of that squad have been used to playing like that over a 46 game season.

He's lost the plot. You say that sort of stuff in-house, not to the media. You can tell he's feeling the pressure big time.

If you'd offered me a draw away to a strong and in form Leicester side, in a 12.30 kickoff on Boxing Day when they had a whole week's rest and we played on Thursday, I'd have taken it.

Chelsea fans will they accept that it could be 220 million well wasted?

Havertz and Werner are great players but Lampard can't get the best out of them. Werner has played every game in every position and he played James and Chilwell tonight - neither looked fit, so that just seems totally odd. Mendy was also shocking and lost his head completely.

When they were on their good run they beat all the bottom teams, now it looks like they're getting beat by the bottom teams!

I feel like Leeds were lucky to get that win against Burnley, lucky to get a few decisions go their way.

Also good to see West Brom scrape a point against Liverpool despite all the odds being against them.

West Brom deserved their point against Liverpool, we were awful. Horrendous game management from us, we should have just accepted it wasn't our day and shut up shop. The only way West Brom ever got the ball was from us giving it away to them. Only annoying thing is it feeds in to the Big Sam cult. Hope this is the year he finally goes down.

Don’t usually watch pool but my dads a fan so it was on the other day and the whole second half it looked more like when would West Brom score rather than if. Quite lucky they fluffed the 1v1 or it could have been 2-1!

I find it lightly amusing that only Everton and Liverpool can have fans right now but in that second half vs West Brom there were times you’d think it was just the 22 players and the ref! Could literally hear a pin drop

They grew in to game when Matip went off as you would expect. But nothing was coming off for any of the players and sometimes you just have to manage the game and shut up shop. I also don't believe we played with the full intensity and tried to conserve energy. Anyway, those results will happen a few times more to us this season, but it will happen to everyone else too.

City were on a good run of form and creeping up but their game at the weekend will get postponed and I genuinely don't know when they will be able to fit the games in, especially if they beat Utd in the League Cup.

Still up in the air if they will play us in the league cup yet or if they will need to be given the same treatment as the League 2 team Spurs got a free pass off. Was it Leyton Orient? If I was their lawyer I’d be watching like a hawk
