May 18, 20214 yr Author Potter will be the next England manager imo! Way too soon for him, that job needs to be for someone who is either really experienced or knows the system. Really wouldn't surprise me if they got a non-English manager in for 2 years and then groomed the successor either as their assistant or as the U21 coach.
May 18, 20214 yr Having fans back in the stadiums looks like it's made a big difference already, if the stadium was empty I don't think Brighton would have even drawn that match let alone won. It was good to see them make the comeback though from 2-0 down! It could make the last day extra interesting and from a United fan point of view I've got a bit of a bad feeling our season long away unbeaten run could come to an end against Wolves. Sheffield United fans are only going to get 1 opportunity to watch Premier League football at home this season before having to watch them in the Championship instead next season.

I wouldn't worry too much about the unbeaten record. Wolves are fairly terrible and even if you put out a slightly weaker team, I can't see Wolves winning. Fans have an impact yes, although I am not sure Brighton would have won the game today if it was 11 vs 11, Southampton got beat and Chelsea were better than Leicester who were hungover from the weekend. What's more funny is United have a good away record being unbeaten, but then they have conceded the most goals at home this season and are 2nd. Someone figure that one out!
May 19, 20214 yr Maguire has missed Man Utd’s last 3 games and have lost 2 and drawn 1. Now imagine losing your first, second and third choice centre-backs halfway through the season?

Our home form is terrible but that statement isn't true  And we've still got more points at home than Pool this season ;) Although it a pretty damning indictment of the league this season that we can lose as many as 6 home games and yet finish second! May 19, 20214 yr We've actually lost the same amount of matches as Man City, it's the draws that have really messed things up for us this season. Man City themselves are heading for a mirror of 2013/14 when they won the league with 86 points, 27 wins, 5 draws & 6 losses. When they were on their winning streak it looked like they would be getting at least somewhere in the early 90's region of a points total. If any of the chasing pack improve their consistency levels and Man City continue like this next season they surely wont retain the title.

I'd hope you had more home points than us this season seeing as we didn't score an open play goal at home for 4 months and lost 6 in a row  It's a mad season and i am not too sure how much can be read in to it, apart from City are not actually that invincible, United are not good enough to challenge for the title (properly), Liverpool give out chances up like handing out sweets and Chelsea are going to be utterly boring next season.
May 19, 20214 yr Crystal Palace forward Eberechi Eze has suffered a "serious injury" after a "freak" incident in training, says manager Roy Hodgson.
May 19, 20214 yr Have a bad feeling about the game vs Burnley tonight, not the type of game we excel in!
May 19, 20214 yr Author Big Phillips the legend!! Yep great win, hit some good form. Madness the first time we play with a settled team we actually start to look like a settled team again. After todays result, I feel leicester could beat Spurs 5-0
May 19, 20214 yr Sam Allardyce has confirmed that he's leaving West Brom. He said he's not going to stay because he's "not long term" and "to the West Brom fans I'm sad I've not kept you up, somebody else will get the team back up to where they belong" So he got them relegated and now decides to leave and let someone else clean up his mess  , he was so quick to refer to West Brom as "you" rather than "us" as well. Just shows that there's not much loyalty in football management these days.

Just shows that there's not much loyalty in football management these days. He knows he will probably get one more Prem team that gets desperate. Could see him at Palace maybe if their new manager goes horribly wrong. I did laugh that he reckons he's been a "quick term" manager for 6 years  Talk about re-writing your own history right there. I don’t think we actually played all that well just did a good job. The three goals will hopefully be useful! I thought we played ok. Have to remember we've played 3 games in 6 days with pretty much the same team! We had plenty of good chances, albeit Burnley were probably a little unlucky not to score but we know our defending is not great. Leicester winning by 5 clear goals is a big ask. Chelsea have to win their game too which won't be easy. Guess we will see how much fans have an impact!
May 20, 20214 yr I worry about Palace who are better away from home under Roy in his last game! On Alladyce I don’t think It was all his fault what happened he tried to come in and fix them but just couldn’t!

On Alladyce I don’t think It was all his fault what happened he tried to come in and fix them but just couldn’t! I'm not saying Palace might not score, but they'd honestly have to give the best performance of the season. Only thing that worries me is if the fans start getting a bit twitchy as the CBs started off very nervously against Burnley. It's always a worry and no easy games, but out of the three fixtures between ourselves, Chelsea and Spurs - Palace at home is the one you'd want.
