September 27, 20204 yr I don’t know why United fans are going on about ‘Instant Karma’ and the likes about Palace. You’d think it was their personal fault that United lost their first match because of a retaken penalty. It wasn’t you lost because you were piss poor overall against them and they thoroughly deserved their Win last week. That’s what I meant when I complained about the penalty incident taking away from their great win because united fans will act like it was the reason they lost.
September 27, 20204 yr Hitting the woodwork five times in a match should be rewarded with a goal :D Does anyone know when "the woodwork" was last actually made of wood?
September 27, 20204 yr Another joke of a handball penalty in the spurs Newcastle game - something has to give.
September 27, 20204 yr I can't see why anything would change just because the Premier League has been forced to adopt the same handball laws as everyone else - "we just want consistency!" This has been handball in most places for the last couple of years causing the same farce and it hasn't changed. They can't make changes mid-season anyway, going to become so bored of people discussing it over the course of the season.
September 27, 20204 yr It doesn’t make it right though. Defenders literally have to jump with their hands behind their backs now - FIFA rules just seem to take all physicality out of the sport - its a contact sport at the end of the day, nowadays it’s like basket ball ffs
September 27, 20204 yr Leicester have beaten Manchester City 5-2 at the Etihad! Can't believe this, Jamie Vardy scored a hatrick in the week that I just took him out of my fantasy team :drama:
September 27, 20204 yr I said at the start of the season it’s all up for grabs again this year - same problems for city and they haven’t been resolved since last year, def need Diaz in from Benfica - once you get through the press they are so naive defensively and what a goal by Vardy for his second and Maddison’s was a cracker too!
September 27, 20204 yr Author I mean for all their billions spent, they brought on a 17 year old striker to change the game - madness. It was brainfart defending for the most part, I thought Leicester were really good. On Monday night everyone was saying how amazing City were and not people are like "they're awful". In reality I think they are somewhere in the middle, capable of brilliance at times, but they are very, very susepticable. Once they go behind and lose control of the game they seem to lose their heads.
September 27, 20204 yr Rodgers is doing brilliant at Leicester, I expect they might struggle once Europa League begins

Yeh as you say they aren’t terrible of course, they will still get 80+ points imo but it’s game on for some other sides including Liverpool again. Arsenal will be an interesting watch as well as they seem a different proposition under Arteta which makes tomorrow’s game very interesting. It was funny in the first 40mins Leicester went behind and didn’t attack and let City have the ball totally and there only looked one winner and G Nev was complaining about Vardy being a midfielder marking Rodri but that was the game plan and once Leicester got through the midfield press they created absolute chaos from the 40th min onwards. All of a sudden G Nev changed his analysis. Did you see Vardys second? Unreal flick! Edited September 27, 20204 yr by Steve201

All of a sudden G Nev changed his analysis. Did you see Vardys second? Unreal flick! I think as a lot of us have pointed out, Man Utd, Man City and Wolves have had no pre-season. They are under-cooked to start with. Chelsea have had less of a pre-season too, but they're showing why you can sign all the players you want who are good on paper, but embedding them in to a team takes time. It's even harder with a small pre-season. Liverpool were always going to be there or thereabouts. They have the best XI in the league and you'd probably say right now, their squad probably edges City
September 27, 20204 yr Possibly I would worry about them when they buy people like Jack Robinson. It’s hard with Egan injured and now O’Connell our for the season!
September 27, 20204 yr That may have been one of the worst performances I've seen since Wolves since they got promoted back to the Premier League.
September 27, 20204 yr Yeh it seemed to come out of nowhere as they were excellent in the second half on Monday night
September 28, 20204 yr This season is absolutely nuts so far and I'm all for it :D That's about 7 matches already with 7 goals!
